It's worth repeating over and over again. The road is a bit steep, but being surrounded by nature and enjoying the view outdoors will keep you entertained no matter how many times you visit. There is no doubt that it is called a secret hot spring.

An inn deep in the mountains. A simple old master, a young master, and a beautiful young landlady. An open-air bath by the river. It's been 10 years since I started going there. This is an inn that I hope will continue as it is now.A male cat named Gombe-chan has joined the staff. I'm looking around the building. It's friendly and cute.

Although it is paved, it is narrow and the only problems are curves with poor visibility and passing each other. Please check the calendar for mixed bathing and women's bathing. The rock bath is recommended on mixed bathing days. The cypress bath is small and lonely.

Namekawa Onsen is a hot spring that has been popular as a hot spring spa since ancient times, and is an inn of the Japan Secret Hot Springs Preservation Association. It was a solitary inn located deep in the mountains at an altitude of 850m.[Residence]○ Old-fashioned hot spring innIt was a very quiet inn with an elegant wooden structure. The room was a compact 6 tatami Japanese-style room with a toilet and washroom. Also, since it faced the river, I could hear the sound of the rushing stream.[Hot water] ○ The real pleasure of secret hot springsThe open-air bath along the Maekawa River was very relaxing and relaxing while enjoying nature.Due to the origin of the name Namegawa Onsen, the bathtub can be slippery, so I was careful not to let my feet slip while bathing.[Food] ○ Delicacies from deep mountains and mountain streamsI thoroughly enjoyed the meal in my room. The food is served using seasonal ingredients such as freshly harvested mushrooms and akebia, so it was very fresh and flavorful. After all, as the name suggests, Harry and I quickly ate the Yonezawa Pork Harihari Nabe while it was still warm. Also, the grilled sweetfish with salt was very delicious. However, the shuttle bus to JR Toge Station left the inn at 8am, so we had no choice but to leave in a hurry.

On a weekend in October, I was picked up from Toge Station on the Yamagata Line and stayed in a room with a toilet. It looks old on the outside, but the inside is well maintained and comfortable. The staff were also nice. However, the sound from next door and above can be heard well in the room. The trains run infrequently, and I had two choices: the train arriving from Fukushima at 1:20 p.m., and the return train leaving at 8:26 or 1:26 p.m.This time, I paid a small additional fee and was able to check out late. . The futon bedding was self-made, and meals were served in the room (dinner, breakfast, and lunch), so I was free to spend 24 hours relaxing in my room or taking a bath. Mobile signal is weak, but wifi is available in the room.As expected, the hot springs had a very nice atmosphere in both the indoor and outdoor baths, and there were many flowers dancing in the slightly cloudy hot water. The open-air rock bath is a little far away. You can reserve the private cypress bath in advance. Even during mixed bathing hours, women can use bathing suits and bath towels rented from the inn, so it is not too difficult to enter. It seems that the bathing clothes I brought in have not been usable since September.Dinner is unusual, and you can order Western food in addition to regular inn food. It was said to have the taste of a Western restaurant in Yonezawa, and it was a proper course menu that exceeded my expectations. I was glad that I found many similar meals when visiting hot springs. On the other hand, breakfast is quite simple. For lunch, I had soba made. It seems that a cafe has recently opened, and I was recommended Neapolitan.Fukushimaya Ryokan and Masugataya Ryokan at Touge Station both have a feeling of secret hot springs, and I would definitely like to visit them again.

A secret hot spring in one inn. There is an inn section and a spa section. The inn section has a TV and is locked (some rooms have toilets and some don't), but there is no hot springs section. Basically, there are no employees in the room, so you have to bring your own futon. There are no microwaves or refrigerators in the spa. Gas is coin operated. You can also order meals from the inn.The baths include an open-air rock bath, a cypress bath, and a large indoor bath. There is also an indoor bath exclusively for women. The cypress bath is the hottest, and the rock bath is the lukewarm. Bathing clothes are allowed, but must be rented. However, I feel like it was expensive. All baths are a mixture of two sources, and are a pale milky blue color. The indoor bath was the most comfortable. The open-air bath cannot be used during the night. The large mixed bath has separate changing areas for men and women, but the inside is the same. The food was pretty good.Delivery can be extended depending on the train. (about 1500 yen)
