A pension full of hospitality in the forest. Both dinner and breakfast were wonderful for us, a couple in our 60s. This is a gourmet inn where you can enjoy your meal in a relaxed manner. With the recent rise in prices, this accommodation rate is probably the result of the management efforts of the owner and his wife. I'm so grateful.Thank you for taking me to Tobu Nikko so early on my way home.I hope we can visit again in a different season.

I wanted to try Hishiya's yokan, so I made a reservation the night before and rushed in, so I went in with zero expectations.Although it is not a new building, it is well kept and does not feel old. I felt that the stairs were designed with great care, as they were wide enough for adults to pass each other. There are four rooms to the south and three to the north, and we were in the southwest corner room, with a small unit bath on the front right side of the room, a small refrigerator in the center on the left side, and a 14-inch TV on the desk. There was also a twin bed and a table set for two next to the window. When I looked around the room, I saw a speaker like the ones in school classrooms that would notify me when food was ready. This was a bit of a hit.Dinner starts at 18:00, and this is truly a dinner course. Of course, the Tochigi beef fillet was delicious, but what impressed my wife and I was how delicious the baguette was. A bread/warmer is placed under the napkin with the bread on it, so you can eat it while it's still warm. It was my first experience at an accommodation facility. There were three types of aperitifs to choose from, and I ordered two at random and drank one for my wife as well. (lol) The bread in the morning was just as delicious and I ended up ordering another. The contents of the meal are exactly the same as the photos you have uploaded. There may be a way to maintain this accommodation fee in this area as well. Still, I was 120% satisfied with everything from hors d'oeuvres to dessert. If I had to pick a disadvantage, the toilet in the room was not a shower toilet (heated toilet seat), and the guest room on the first floor was a Panasonic Ara Uno (it was also written on the entrance to the bathroom in the room). However, it is still a hassle to get off one by one. Also, even though it was only mid-March, the vending machines were all COOL, so I wanted to relax before meals and when I woke up in the morning, and it would have been nice to be able to drink tea in my room if I wanted. Also, the TV is too small. But I can't help it, as the smiles on the faces of the couple and the wallet-friendly price are what's most important to me. good luck.

Dinner is just an appetizer, soup, and main course. It's not enoughThe red wine sauce on the meat was so sweet that I ate two bites and gave it to my husband. The quiche is too flavorful for me.Overall I didn't like the foodThey served me some soba noodles, and while I was happy with the service, they were also thin soba noodles like hiyamugi and served with a sweet soup.I guess it can't be helped since the price is so low.Due to rising fuel costs, I can only take a bath once. There's no next time

Since it's called a gourmet inn, I assumed the food would be delicious, but I was surprised by how delicious it was beyond my imagination!I don't think you'll find a hotel this cheap, which includes a full-course dinner and a stylish, delicious, and fresh breakfast.I think the reason it's cheap is because it's a family-run business, but during dinner, people came to our table many times to refill the cold drinks and ask for free refills of the delicious bread. However, you will not have any problems as you can receive very satisfactory services such as free shuttle service to Tobu Nikko Station in the morning, cleaning every time the bath is changed, and kind customer service. For dinner, we were served hors d'oeuvres -> soup -> main dish (fillet steak) -> dessert, depending on how fast we were eating, and there was also a service where the bread was served on a warm plate so that it was always warm. The building is a little old, but it's clean so it's not a problem. The cost performance, service, and access were all in the best class, so I will be staying again before it becomes a popular inn.

As everyone's reviews have said, the food is delicious. Although it's French cuisine, it has Japanese touches, so you can enjoy a casual meal. Although it is a pension, each room has a bath and toilet, and there are also two private family baths. Wi-Fi was also available in the room.

The food is generally stylish and delicious.Among the course meals this time, the appetizer, burdock quiche, and the main course, beef tenderloin, were both delicious. However, the bread that seemed to be ordered from nearby was especially delicious. Also, when I went there thinking of an inn, it turned out to be a pension. It was a visit from two old men, so I guess we were all from the wrong class lol (Looking back at the photo, it's a pension no matter where you look)The building is made of wood and the second floor is the accommodation room. Since the room is dark, I thought about changing the lighting, but I wonder if this is just right for Mr. Avec lolIt is run by a young couple and they are working really hard and I want to support them.

I stopped by Nikko on my way back to Osaka during the second half of my bike trip around Tohoku and Northern Kanto from Osaka. Nikko is a famous tourist destination, so big hotels can be quite expensive. When I was doing some comparisons on Rakuten Travel, I felt that this pension had good reviews for its food and a good price, so I made a reservation. Before I went, I was a little worried about what the place would be like, but I believed everyone's comments and headed there anyway. When I parked my bike, a person who appeared to be the owner happened to be outside, and he immediately called out to me. You have to take off your shoes at the entrance, so I think it might be a little difficult for people who wear motorcycle boots. There are carefully selected ornaments and interior decorations, and each item is treated with care. The rooms, bathrooms, and restaurant all have a handmade feel to them. I felt that the family was running the business with great care. Or maybe they are people who can afford to provide a high quality lifestyle without thinking too much about making money. The food was delicious beyond my expectations. The quiche appetizer for dinner was my favorite. The main dish made with Tochigi beef was also delicious. The breakfast was extremely healthy, yet each item was carefully prepared and very delicious. If you had dinner at a high-end restaurant in Tokyo, you wouldn't be surprised if it cost 20,000 yen per person. The level of their skills is so high that I was able to understand that they both graduated from a school specializing in cooking. The atmosphere is basically French cuisine, but there are also some modern Spanish and Italian touches. I tried all three of the original aperitifs and they were delicious. I thought that the couple must also be cleaning the room and bathroom, and I felt like I should be careful not to make it too dirty. Of course, it's different from modern hotel baths or inn hot springs, so you need to be a little mentally prepared. Thinking about it calmly, I think a shower in the unit bath in the room would have been enough, but I'm glad I was able to use it to reward the couple for their careful preparation. I had a really quiet time. Following my wife's advice, I returned via Yumoto Falls.
