It's not often that I give one star, but this inn left me with only unpleasant memories even after I returned from my trip. I've traveled a lot as a solo female, but this is the first time I've had such a bad experience.I understand that the room is old, so there is no problem, but although there is a telephone, there is no sign telling you what number to call at the front desk, and although there is a rice bowl, there are no cups. It would have been nice if there was an explanation at check-in, but the landlady told me, ``The information on the internet is fine,'' and I was taken directly to the room without even explaining that there was Wi-Fi.(It was a Tuesday, so there weren't many other customers and it didn't seem busy at all)Well, it's an old inn in the countryside, so when I gathered myself and headed for dinner, I was taken to a clean private room and a set of dishes was served. A small pot was also lit, and the tea and rice were kept warm, and two additional dishes and bowls were later served warm. The food tasted delicious. After ordering a beer, we ordered two highballs at once to save the inn the trouble of serving the food, but around that time, the solid fuel in the small pot ran out. I was prioritizing other hot dishes as appetizers, so when I ordered my fourth drink, I asked for solid fuel. However, since it was in a pot, it started to boil down and the flavor became too strong, so I added ice from a highball to dilute it.For the 5th drink, the hostess came to take the order each time, but she still looked like she didn't know and tried to return, so she said, ``I think I know you're drinking alcohol, but I had the hot food first, so the small pot will come later.'' It's getting cold, so I asked for solid fuel earlier. As you can see, the rice and tea are also cold. I'm not sure if I can change it to something warmer unless I tell you." I heard. They said, ``Sorry, I don't drink, so I don't understand.'' ``We're a small inn run by a husband and wife,'' and ``It's a rule that we give everything out first.''Even at a table where local male guests were drinking, they served the rice first and left it alone even after it got cold. When I asked them, they said, ``It's different from the food at the hotel,'' and then the same thing happened again. My repeated answer was, ``I don't drink, so it's just my husband and I.''There was a sign saying ``Ryotei'' at the entrance, so I expected the service to be of that level, but since I kept getting the same answers over and over again, I decided to change my mind and drink in my room instead, so I went to a nearby convenience store to get some alcohol. I went to buy some food, and when I returned to my room, the landlady had prepared a new meal in the private room. Oh, I see, I didn't know who the next customer was, but I wanted to use it next time, so I wanted to empty it quickly, and I wanted them to leave quickly, so I thought they lit everything on fire and served the food. When I went back to my room, I didn't have a cup, so I noticed someone was in the kitchen, so I was ignored even though I shouted loudly. There seemed to be a man who greeted me at check-in, but he ignored me for a long time, and the landlady came out after a while. I can hear your voice, so why do you ignore it?If there was a cup in the room, if there was a number for the front desk in the room... Ah, but since it's a couple, there's no point in calling out to the kitchen and being ignored. Customers have to accept the inconvenience. If I hadn't been drinking, I could have found another place to stay, but I resisted the urge to leave right away and spent the next morning feeling uncomfortable.I waited for the nearby hot springs to open and hurriedly checked out. When I talked to my family and friends, they said, ``In rural Shimane, there aren't many solo female customers, so I guess they thought it was okay to be rough. If you act like that in this day and age, the number of customers will eventually decrease.'' .This inn made me decide never to stay at a small inn again.
