Stayed at Rumah Cantik for 3 weeks with my family... 5 adults and 2 children. From the first day we felt welcome and it felt like being a guest in a private home. The girls employed were simply so nice and helpful.We ate many meals at the hotel and everything was delicious and fresh. Breakfast was served when we wanted it. They listened and tried their best to accommodate our individual wishes for spicyness 😊 We were even allowed to borrow the kitchen one evening to cook ourselvesThey helped arrange tours and transport, packed lunches and called other restaurants to book us a table if we wanted to go out in the evening.The atmosphere was familial, we were quick on first names and hugs, shared photos of our experiences and laughed together.The hotel is super clean and the rooms were cleaned twice a day. The rooms were large and comfortably furnished with bookshelves, with books that you could freely borrow.The garden is cozy with a small terrace, a small roof where we could get a massage. The girls called masseurs who came daily and massaged those of us who wanted it. The pool was nice and cooling in the heat, but we could have wished that some of it was covered for the sake of the children.The hotel is within walking distance to a supermarket and the beach. However, you have to cross an extremely busy road. A little further away there are several restaurants and a cozy beach promenade with small shops / stalls.Rumah cantik gets our highest recommendation, especially because of the cosy, family atmosphere and not least the staff.

We are a family of five who stayed here for three nights.The place is owned by a Danish-Balinese couple, and the atmosphere is a wonderful mix of these cultures.With only four rooms, it is delightfully peaceful.
