The Rakuten in Izumo is new and very well maintained and is located on a street opposite a temple. Since we had a good experience with Rakuten in Osaka, we thought it would be the same in Izumo. Unfortunately, it was not like that. The good experiences of the past are in stark contrast to the service when problems arise and the construction of the terraced houses. The house is well insulated from the outside. It's very noisy inside the houses and we are woken up every morning (despite earplugs) by the neighbors on one side and go to bed with the other neighbors at 1 a.m. when everything is finally quiet. The building planner was clever enough to build the adjoining bathrooms directly at the neighbors' headboards instead of structurally mirroring the houses. So when you fall asleep you hear the neighbor's washing machine and when you wake up you hear the children showering and playing loudly. Maximum sleep was around 6-7 hours....but only if the neighbor was also sleeping.....i.e. without my own rhythm. I cannot recommend the Rakuten Izumo. I tried to contact customer service and received no help or response. I will request the money via Expedia or Visa, because for me good service is part of a good experience and not just a tablet to check in. It's also a shame for me that I asked for a quiet house (far left or right) days before. However, Rakuten apparently didn't want to go to the trouble especially for a German family. A pity. For me one of the worst experiences on our 3 week trip to Japan.Update: We have now been somewhat accommodated in terms of money, but the accommodation didn't even amount to one night out of a total of three nights with trouble. So still extremely dissatisfied.

Conveniently located near Izumo Taisha Shrine and Inasa Beach. It was helpful to have a sauna, welcome drink, and daily necessities.I would like to stay again.It would be nice if Yukata was the only one missing.

The room was newly built and very clean.All rooms are spacious enough and equipped with large TVs and projectors.The kitchen is also a system kitchen similar to what you would find in a typical home.There is a water server and sauna in the changing room.The facilities were well-equipped.The bathroom door is made of clear glass, so I hesitate to use the washroom while using the bathroom.I was traveling with a small child, so it would have been nice to have a step stool to help with the sink.The location was very close to Izumo Taisha, but it was a quiet place.
