This is a handmade inn that the host built by himself over a period of seven years, using scrap materials and old telephone poles from the reconstruction of an elementary and junior high school on the island. fine. It overlooks the East China Sea and enjoys the sea breeze. However, I was disappointed that I hadn't rewritten the price of 7,500 yen for one night and two meals online for a long time. The price list posted was 8,000 yen. What's more, I stayed for two nights, but from the second day on April 1st, they asked me to raise the price by 800 yen. The day before was in March, so I decided not to pay 800 yen. I was able to get a drink though. Maybe it's because it's a remote island, so it's tough, but I'd like them to make sure to give proper notice. With this, there will be customers who will no longer use the service because the cut of the money is the cut of the edge.Generally, guests who are short of the ferry port will be refused accommodation. Quite a mountain path from the port. If you drive by yourself or rent a car, you can receive it. I was allowed to stay on the condition that I had a driver's license and rented a car. There were actually rental cars available at the port. Also, the host's wife is a bit of a difficult person. You shouldn't lecture your customers. The homemade bento was delicious though.

When I called to inquire about whether I could make a reservation, I was surprised by the "easy-going" response. In the end, I was unable to make a reservation as the restaurant was not open at that time. →I received a call 10 minutes later and apologized for the poor response. Apparently, I had been receiving a series of nuisance phone calls. When deciding whether to stay overnight, please consider adding the two events and dividing by 2.

buildingI'm glad there was a lot of horse mackerel.Deer roam around the building, giving you a sense of nature. You can see the ocean from the dining room and lobby, which is beautiful.Guest roomThe construction is rough, but that's a good thing. There was also a TV, and I could watch digital broadcasts and BS. I didn't play CS, so I don't know.toiletIt was a communal toilet with a faucet. It was very beautiful.AmenitiesYou can rent bath towels for visiting the hot springs.(There didn't seem to be anything else)NetMobile phones can be used in the dining room/lobby (docomo only). There is no Wi-Fi.Mobile communication speed was quite slow.I heard that there are plans to install lights separately.mealIt may have been difficult to make a reservation the day before, but we had a delicious meal with a wide variety of items in the evening and morning. We also prepared a lunch box for the return boat.othersI rented a bike and wandered around the island for about half a day (landing at 2:30 p.m., leaving the island at 10:30 the next day). I was able to visit 4 hot springs.I was able to visit most of the scenic spots that I could go to by bike.I wanted to climb Mt. Shindake and Mt. Furudake, but the road along the way was closed due to a debris flow, so I couldn't reach the trailhead and couldn't climb it. (If you climb the mountain, it is impossible to visit all the hot springs)

I stayed alone for sightseeing while there were a lot of people staying there from work.It is located in the mountains in the center of the island, with no other private houses.Even during the hot season, it was cool and comfortable at night.Staying here while enjoying the tropical feeling will be a memorable experience.

This is the largest accommodation facility on Kuchinoerabu Island. The owner of this inn discovered the value of this island about 40 years ago, moved to the island, and eventually became a person who enlivened the island and is run by someone who has contributed to the island based on the idea of coexistence between people and the island. . Unfortunately, the owner passed away a few years ago, but his wife, daughter, and eventually grandchildren will take over the business. You might think that there is nothing compared to the city, but there are many things that the city does not have. For me, I felt the power of people. There are books left behind by your husband. It's all written on it.This is an island with an active volcano that is prone to disasters, but this large inn has left behind a legacy where you can feel that there are people living there. It was built using recycled wood from abandoned schools. There are many other achievements, but I want you to stay at this inn first.Even though it is far from the port, government officials, companies, and people working on regular construction work on the island can also stay here. This is definitely an inn.Above all, the food here is delicious. There are many portions. The only other store is the Agricultural Cooperative Shop, so I think it's definitely better to get three meals here, and you won't be left without a meal. You can also have a bento prepared for you at noon. The island still has many scars from the 2015 eruption, and because it is a small island, it has been overlooked by society, and I can't help but feel that the islanders are working diligently to repair it.If you have lost your purpose in life, there are many things to do when you come here.

When I stayed there around 2015, it was a toilet with a sink, but a few years later it was changed to a flush toilet. Since then, the accommodation has been upgraded year by year, with better washing machines, refrigerators, and baths. I wonder if the day will come in a few years when we will have stable internet and phone connections.

You can be entertained with home-cooked meals prepared by the landlady and her daughter. The handmade gyoza is said to be a memorable meal with her husband, and it is plentiful and very delicious.Although it is a little far from the main village, there are no lights in the surrounding area and the starry sky at night is absolutely beautiful.Nemachi Onsen is nearby, and the hot springs here are the best, with self-spouting hot water at just the right temperature. It's in a perfect location to take a bath in the morning.I use it regularly for work, so I'm worried that if it gets too crowded, I won't be able to get a reservation, so I don't want to spread the word about it too much, but I definitely recommend it.PS: I always look forward to listening to the proprietress' interesting stories and having conversations with her.
