Shimane Prefecture is weak in tourism. It's so atmospheric, why are there no tourists? The staff is kind and polite, the accommodation is a stylish renovated 100-year-old private house, breakfast is served in a place similar to Mugen Castle (Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba), and the townscape is reminiscent of ancient Japan. It's quiet and has a nice atmosphere, and I'd like to visit again.

This inn is located right in front of the fishing port. It feels like a small village, and there are several inns lined up in a way that gives you the feeling that you can see the entire village. …

I visited here on a 3-generation trip with my 0, 2, and 4 year old children. The building is old, but the new building has been renovated and is very clean. We were able to enjoy our meals in a private room, and the local food was delicious. The bath is a large public bath, stocked with baby goods, and even a diaper set, so I was able to spend my time with children at ease.Above all, my parents were happy to be able to eat, drink coffee, and relax in the historic main building. I'll visit you again.

I stayed in a villa with my family. It was old and hadn't been properly cleaned, and it was so dusty that I had an allergy attack. The shoji was torn all over the place but hadn't been replaced, and when I went to the bathroom right after I unlocked the door, I found the toilet paper had been folded into a triangle, but when I opened the lid, the stuff the person in front of me had left behind didn't flush. I was there. That means it's not 100% cleaned. They emphasized that the inn has a lot of history, but it's just old.Perhaps there aren't enough people, or there's always a lack of guidance.Dinner was also 3 pieces of crab per person, but the boiled crab was obviously frozen. As for the bathroom, the women's bathroom in the main building had three sinks, but only one had a very old, worn-out hair dryer. It doesn't dry at all, and since I only have one, other family members and children gave up and left their hair wet.We were not shown the breakfast venue either, and there was coffee prepared at the entrance, but we weren't told anything about it, so we didn't know if it was okay to drink it, so we just left.To be honest, I was surprised at this level even though I paid about 50,000 yen per adult.I will never go again, but as much as I had high expectations, I was very disappointed.

Second visit.Although the building is old, the rooms are clean and well-maintained.The hotel faces a small port, so the view in the morning and the food were delicious. We had breakfast in a historical building that looked like something out of Spirited Away!On a clear day, you can see Mt. Daisen and it's beautiful.I made a reservation because I wanted to eat a lot of crab.I was very satisfied with the sashimi, boiled crab, and hot pot.

I went there from Tokyo. It's an incredibly beautiful port town that looks like something out of an old tale. The inn was also very clean and I felt that it was preserving the traditions of the past. The staff, as well as the surrounding residents, were very kind and it felt like I had traveled back in time to good old Japan.I will definitely go again. One of the best port towns I have ever visited in my life. The Ryokan is extremely nice and you can feel the old Japan and its culture. You will never experience such a place and such a nice people elsewhere.Must go!!!
