If you only look at the price, you might think it's a high-end route, but that's not the case at all. It has a very common atmosphere. What I am concerned about is the staff serving the meals. It's good if everyone talks to you in a friendly manner, but it's better if only one person interacts with you in a way you don't like. They'll say bad things about other customers, and they'll look visibly displeased if you're not in the mood.It wasn't just me, but other customers as well, so I felt sorry for them. It's a shame that the other staff members were so good that they stood out as bad. Also, don't keep putting down the dishes without saying anything. Please say something. I guess they wanted to clean up quickly, but they also put down the food that was in the middle of eating, so I thought it was a bit strange. They may have been trying to be friendly overall, but I felt that the customer service was just rude.Again, all the staff are wonderful except for one person.Overall, I felt that the hotel was quite expensive and lacking in quality, including the rooms, customer service, meals, and hot springs.

Stayed overnight while climbing Mt. Rausu and trekking in Shiretoko. The room is the type you would find in a local hotel. The quality of the hot springs is good, but the layout of Karan is mysteriously narrow at the corners. The food was simple but delicious, using a variety of local ingredients. However, roaming on my mobile phone is slow. Wi-Fi is only available in the lobby on the first floor. Even though the vending machines are almost half sold out, they are not restocked the next day. I understand that it may be due to a lack of manpower, but I would like them to try a little harder.

I should have read more of the reviews with only one low rating before making a reservation. It's to the point where I feel angry at myself for choosing this place to stay when I look at the photos.

As the name suggests, this is an inn located at the end of the earth. This hotel is located in the natural forest of Shiretoko National Park. The hot springs also have an attractive open-air bath that makes good use of a natural river.By the way, the open-air bath is a mixed bath where you can wear a swimsuit.

Simply put, don't waste your time and money on this garbage. Their service is a disgrace to Japanese.I had book a plan called "mountain climbing support plan" from Jalan and it costs about 14000yen without meals. It's expensive but they do have a good location at the entry point of Rausu-Dake.In the afternoon of the check-in day, they call me and say they cannot offer accommodation tonight due to some pipeline issue. (I live in Japan so I could speak some Japanese, if you are a foreigner you will have a big trouble then.)They suggest me to go to their friend's hotel and can offer a discount. The distance is 13km away, let alone there's almost no transportation here and their offer is about 500yen off LOL. Why don't you suggest me a Hotel in Okinawa? They don't care about your time loss, your schedule ruined, your money wasted to get here. They charge you money when you cancel the booking, but why don't hotel give money when they cancel the booking? They don't have the heart to run a hotel, they are just running business to earn more money for themselves. Is this the Utoro style of service?

I used it for an overnight stay after Mt. Rausu. I was alone, but the room was large and nice. However, there was a lot of hair falling out and it didn't seem like she was vacuuming regularly. Even if there is a power shortage, I would like to pay this price since it is a mountain hut. I couldn't check in until 3:00 pm because the unfriendly front desk staff said they weren't ready, so I had to wait until 3:00 pm. .Breakfast was like a half-buffet, so we only had what we wanted. The staff seemed to be enjoying their work as well.I only used the indoor hot spring, but it was spacious and relaxing.

First visit and overnight stay in 45 years. The owner had changed, but the contents of the hotel didn't seem to have changed. Both the indoor and outdoor baths are showing their age, but they have the atmosphere of a hot spring hotel in the mountains. As for the meals, especially breakfast, you can spend as much as you want, and the staff recommended it.

A solitary house in Shiretoko...As the only inn where you can stay in the heart of a world heritage site, I wanted to visit the unexplored hotel because of its aerial photography.Opened as Iwaobetsu Onsen, it is located at the entrance to Mt. Rausu, and the surrounding area is a protected area. Be careful of brown bears, and Ezo deer are often encountered. While you are relaxing in the open-air bath, a family of Ezo deer and their calves appear from the forest across the road, giving you a sense of peace.Down the side street from the parking lot, there is a natural open-air bath that is popular with mountaineers, and there are many inbound foreigners there. The upper tier, which looks like a blue pond, is a hot water bath that is contrary to its appearance...I decided to soak my feet for just a moment and gave up.The lower level is lukewarm, and the cloudy water in the middle is surrounded by the light and shade of fresh greenery, allowing me to take a long bath.I think a location like Petit Jiuzhaigou might be a good idea.

I only went to the indoor bath. The hot water is a little hot, but very good. The open-air bath is a mixed bath where you can wear a yukata. Shampoo and conditioner available, Muji cleansing, lotion, BALMUDA fan, and water server in the changing room. Was it because I used it for a day trip? I don't know, but the reception is a little harsh.

Used for 2 nights during a trip. It's in the mountains. It is also used by many climbers of Mt. Rausu.Bathing clothes are required for mixed bathing in the hot springs, and they are available for free. The quality of the spring water is colorless and transparent, and hot water flowers are floating in the indoor bath. The meals are so voluminous that you won't be able to finish both breakfast and dinner. I would be happy if they could reduce the quantity and improve the quality. For breakfast, there was an all-you-can-eat king salmon salmon roe service.
