It was a weekday in September, and there were only two other campers, so it was quiet. The last time I was here was over 20 years ago, and the restrooms are Western-style and comfortable, with shoes strictly prohibited. It wasn't that cold from night to morning, probably due to global warming.

This is a campsite in the forest. The toilet was very clean. There is a grocery store at the entrance to the campsite, and there is also a store that sells highland vegetables at low prices. There is also a delicious Italian restaurant called Hanazaru-tei nearby. On the way to Kamikochi from here, I saw monkeys crossing the road twice. It's convenient because there are many things around, and it's cool in the summer, so it's a great place to come to escape the heat.

The most important thing to worry about when camping is the toilet, which is clean and easy to use.

It was very quiet, the toilets were clean, and I was able to relax. I came last year for the first time in summer, and I liked it because there weren't many insects and it was cool, so I decided to use it again this year. It was Golden Week, and the temperature was still low, so it was cold in the mornings and evenings.

Thank you for your help in late August 2023.The manager's lady is kind and efficient in her management role.It seems that there was a non-reporter who was secretly trying to set up a tent in the middle of the night when the manager was away, but the regulars warned him off and withdrew.I felt that the users were following the rules and maintaining a comfortable environment for everyone. There are hot springs and food and miscellaneous goods stores about 5 minutes away by car. There are sightseeing spots, ice cream shops, soba restaurants, etc., so you won't get bored. It's cool even in summer, and the water is cold, so you can chill drinks and watermelon. The toilet was clean and there were almost no insects. The cost is 1,800 yen per adult per night and a motorbike.

Used in late August 2022. It was quite far from Tokyo...I guess I made the reservation on my cell phone, and the lady was kind. Since it's a highland in Nagano Prefecture, it was cool. There seemed to be some wild animals, and there was a bear bell. The toilets are clean and smell like wood, and the water sources are mountain water and tap water. We were the only people there, so it felt like we were camping. There seems to be a hot spring nearby. Those who drive or bike may enjoy the journey to Kaida Kogen.

I visited for two nights at the beginning of August. You can make a reservation by phone the day before you go.1,500 yen per person per night, 500 yen for car (300 yen for motorbike)It is said that it is run by a single woman (private property), and recently they only accept reservations by phone. There are many cases where there is no reception even after arriving. (Please call us on your mobile number when you arrive! This is a free site with no partitions.Basically, you should take your trash home with you. There are only toilets in one building behind the reception desk. Replaceable slippers type (beautiful!)There are several water stations, but only one has tap water! There is an ash dump on the side. The rest is water from the mountains, so use it for cooling vegetables and drinks. (It's so cold!)Unknowingly, I tried using mountain water to wash the rice, but a lot of moss-like material got into it, so I rinsed it with tap water over and over again.Places where wild animals may be exposed, food items, etc. must be sealed and cleaned up! (A bucket was handed to me)Because it was a forest site, I couldn't see the starry sky full of stars. There were no mosquitoes, but there were occasional horseflies.I felt that I could enjoy a camping experience where I could go back to basics since there was only the bare minimum. (compliment)
