I heard that this is a 137-year-old old private house, so is it possible to stay there without any inconvenience even with children? To be honest, I was a little apprehensive before going there, but the necessary areas had been renovated with a perfect balance, so I was able to spend my time there without feeling any inconvenience. The children ran around the large grounds as if on a treasure hunt, and their eyes lit up when they saw something they had never seen before, asking, ``What is this? How can I use it?'' There were many scenes that made me glad that I had come.Adults and children alike were excited from beginning to end at the many valuable experiences that can only be had at Miya-an, such as the hearth, open-air bath, and pizza oven (lol)Of course, adults are in charge of starting the fire, but we also asked them to help carry the firewood and try their hand at using a fire blowing stick. I was able to create this together with my children, who usually only play games and watch TV, and I had a very fulfilling time. The children had fun making pizza and the first shaved ice they found in the separate cafe space (there were 6 types of syrup!)! I highly praised it ^^On the second morning, I woke up in my pajamas and immediately went for a walk. I was very healed by the rural scenery and the refreshing breeze. I realized once again that something like this can't be done in the city. I saw small frogs, dragonflies flying around, and I was very moved to see a stork right next to the inn.The owner's concept of ``relaxing without hesitation'' was exactly what I expected, and I was so busy that I didn't have enough time for one night and two days, so I was able to experience a lot of things, and I felt a warm feeling that made me feel like I was visiting relatives in the countryside. I felt that this was an inn where I could spend some time and truly rejuvenate my mind and body.I don't think you can experience this feeling at a hotel. It's also a place you'll definitely want to visit. thank you very much.

About 4 hours from NagoyaArrived at an inn where I got lost in a Totoro story through a time slip. It's a city but it's a countrysideThere are no supermarkets nearby, so please make sure you have everything you need before entering your accommodation. And if you forget, please give up gracefully. The inconvenience is goodThe rice cooked in the oven is fluffy and fragrant, making you more excited while preparing it.You can use the leftover fire to grill meat or boil water in the hearth.Bake professional-quality pizza in a pizza ovenUse that fire to boil a bathBut don't worryThere is electricityThere is also a unit bath. There is also a coolerThere is also wi-fi.Would you like to "relax and relax"?Why not enjoy the inconvenience?I don't have time to touch my phoneWould you like to try a digital detox? The retirement life I wanted to live was here. You can also stay with your cute dog.It was so greatThank you very much

There were many things to experience such as a pizza oven, an irori hearth, and a sauna, as well as a beer server and shaved ice, so I was very satisfied with the facilities that exceeded my expectations. I am very grateful that I was able to give my elementary school nephew this valuable experience. It was a very nice space.

I went to an old private house for rent (dogs allowed) in Ayabe City, Kyoto Prefecture. In the morning, I left at a leisurely time around 9am. Take the expressway from Nagoya and have an early lunch in Obama. It is also possible to stop by Maizuru and stay at an inn. Once you get to your accommodation, there are many things you want to do. We cooked rice on the stove and roasted the dried fish we bought in Obama on the hearth. The glass sauna has a self-lowering system that allows you to adjust the temperature to your liking. Fill the semi-open-air bath with water and add ice cubes to make it hot. Totono in a Tonoto chair. The chair's backrest is adjustable, allowing you to view the countryside from just the right angle. It was great. There is a cafe garden in the annex, where I tried siphon coffee. Compared to the usual hand drip coffee, I was able to create a coffee with a good flavor and richness, with less acidity. We brought our dog with us, and he seemed to like this 170-year-old traditional house, too, and happily explored it off-leash. There is a large commercial-sized pizza oven in the outside garage, and you can try your hand at making pizza. It's also nice to eat your baked pizza at a cafe or in the garden. Amenity goods and electrical appliances are available, so you don't have to bring much with you. I'm also looking forward to using this as a starting point to visit Kinosaki Onsen, Amanohashidate, and Ine's Funaya. This time I would like to invite my dog friend to visit the old folk house Kyoto Okuzashiki Miyaan, which is a dog-friendly hands-on rental house.

The other day, I went to Kyoto Okuzashiki Miyaan in Ayabe City, Kyoto to spend a relaxing holiday with my touring friends. It took about 2:30 pm to travel by bike (car) from Osaka city, including taking breaks at ``roadside stations'' along the way.The building, which is over 130 years old (built in 1899), has been maintained in a very neat manner, and it brings back the nostalgia of seeing it in your childhood. There are some modern sauna rooms, etc., but I wonder if they have chosen the color scheme, materials, etc. so as not to spoil the scenery. In this mysterious space, I immediately worked up a sweat by relaxing in the owner's homemade sauna to relieve the fatigue of traveling.Enjoying the sauna while admiring the rural scenery and the endangered storks in the sky, you can relax while feeling luxurious and happy.・Eat pizza baked in a pizza oven・Eat shaved ice (all you can eat)And so, time passed in the blink of an eye.At night, we have dinner with rice cooked in a pot and dishes prepared in our beautiful kitchen. When I went to bed, I was able to turn off the air conditioner, which was a relief considering it was a hot August day. After waking up, I sweated it out in the sauna and left ``Kyoto Okuzashiki Gayaan'' in a refreshed state.I've stayed at hotels and inns in the past, but I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a unique experience that you simply can't get at a lodging facility.

I was able to spend time in an old private house that was built 137 years ago while feeling the great outdoors. We had a BBQ in the irori hearth, heated up the pizza oven and baked pizza, and had some experiences that we don't usually get to do.The rice cooked on the stove was very delicious. The bath and toilet have been renovated so even young children can use them with peace of mind. The friendly owner carefully explained how to use the hearth and pizza oven and the equipment, and we had a great time.I want to visit again!

I had a Satoyama experience in a place called Kyoto Okuzashiki, surrounded by rural scenery that can be said to be the original scenery of Japan. It looks like an old Japanese house that has been renovated. There were no cars or noise, and the environment was cleansing with the sounds of birds, cicadas, and the breeze. What's more, there's a barrel-style sauna created by the owner, and a cold bath next to it, so you can enjoy it while looking out at the countryside, and you'll be in good shape mentally and physically. After the sauna, we were able to enjoy shaved ice and draft beer at a separate cafe corner. In the evening, enjoy a BBQ catered by the Japanese restaurant "Yuzuki" in Ayabe over a fire in the hearth. The tender, sweet and juicy Tamba beef was exquisite. The takikomi rice cooked in an authentic oven was also delicious. After the meal, we enjoyed another set of saunas and were able to relax on the sauna chairs while looking at the starry sky.Recommended for those who want to enjoy the Japanese countryside, experience a sauna in a different space, and enjoy dinner around the hearth with your family, loved ones, and workdays (with Wi-Fi). It was an inn.I would like to visit again.

I visited Miyabi-an, a back parlor in Kyoto.Along the way, I was greeted by the exciting scenery of Japan's good old days. When I arrived, my favorite sauna was waiting for me, and I went straight to the sauna. The view from the glass door and the ability to adjust the temperature to your preference with the self-rolling system were outstanding!Inside the facility, every detail was packed with a nostalgic feel, and the experiences such as cooking, which took a lot of effort, were also very atmospheric. The sounds of birds chirping, insects chirping, and the wind rustling. It was a wonderful inn that you could feel with all five senses!

``Kyoto Okuzashiki Gayaan'' is located in the deep countryside of Kyoto. About an hour and a half by car from Kyoto Station, you will find a house surrounded by lush forests and rural scenery that will make you feel as if you have wandered into the world of ``My Neighbor Totoro.'' This 137-year-old private house has a long history, but the interior has been incredibly carefully renovated, creating a perfect blend of modern comfort and good old Japanese charm. This old folk house is the ``Ayabe base,'' so to speak, built over time by a hobbyist. This place, which combines the romance and worldviews of the previous and current owners, frees visitors from the flow of time, as its catchphrase says, ``Relax without the rush.'' It offers a luxurious moment where you can watch storks flying in the sky while listening to the sounds of insects. On the first day of our stay, we enjoyed 3 sets of saunas during the day, then enjoyed rice cooked on a stove and an exquisite BBQ set from ``Ayabe Restaurant Yuzuki'' in the hearth, and then 2 more sets of saunas in the evening. Even though it was midsummer, the temperature dropped in the evening and the conditions were perfect for bathing in the open air. The next day, enjoy pizza baked in a pizza oven with a cup of carefully selected siphon coffee in hand, and enjoy three sauna sets in the morning. Cool off with shaved ice and enjoy the sauna before checking out. This place can be enjoyed for a variety of purposes, including sauna tours, work trips, family trips, and pet trips. This is a special facility where you can experience the splendor of being surrounded by nature and Satoyama, and the owner's romance is endless. At first glance, it seems like it is only for people, but it is actually a hidden spot where everyone who visits can find something special to enjoy.
