The hut is located at a great altitude to acclimatise to the mountain. It is approximately 4.5hr from the top. The view from the hut is beautiful. The owner was very friendly and welcoming. They have a translation device to make it easier to communicate with them.Everything you needed was provided. The small rooms were clean and very comfortable to sleep in and the hut is maintained at a good temperature. We were a little unlucky with our sleep. As that evening there were many ‘night’ climbers who made a lot of noise outside and kept shining their torch into the window. We were disturbed a lot from 11pm onwards. - I recommend future visitors to bring an eye mask and ear plugs.Because of this we departed a little earlier whilst it was dark, and enjoyed the sunrise from higher up in the mountain.

I used it for an overnight stay in early September. First of all, the sleeping area was larger than I expected, and each person's space was almost completely separated, so I was able to sleep with peace of mind (by the way, for those who came as a couple, there is a space for two people) (prepared separately). I think I made the right choice in choosing Setodate, as some reviews of other mountain huts say they crammed as much as they could into the rooms, and ended up with their neighbors on their shoulders, unable to move.Although the staff member who helped me had only been here for two weeks, I was impressed by how hard he worked with each and every foreigner, with a translator in hand. When I said that I was surprised to see so many foreigners, I was even more surprised to hear that I was the only Japanese climber staying overnight today. After that, I listened to many stories and enjoyed them. thank you very much. The location is 2,700m above sea level, so it's a long way to the top of the mountain, but unless you're someone who doesn't want to see the sunrise unless you're at the top of the mountain, you'll be able to quietly watch the sunrise rising in front of the hut. I think so. If I had one complaint, it would be that although the toilets flushed and seemed to be well maintained, there were only a few (two private rooms).

I bought a 500ml cola for 400 yen, which is cheap considering Mt. Fuji, and took a break while sitting on a wooden bench. From behind this hut, the Ochumichi path that goes around Mt. Fuji extends towards Yoshidaguchi.

The boss’s attitude is very uncomfortable🙄The four of us had main meals inside, and the overall meal time was not very long, less than 20 minutes. We were still drinking the water he provided, and the boss signaled us to leave🤬 The important point is also later There were no other customers, it was only 12:30 noon, and it was not a break...The boss’s attitude made us feel very uncomfortable🙄All of us(4 people) had main meals inside, and the overall meal time was not very long, less than 20 minutes. This place is halfway on the Subarashi route. If you start climbing early you should get here around noon, so it's perfect to have lunch and take a break before continuing. The menu usually has about 7 dishes, usually soups, rice and curries.

On my first overnight trip to Mt. Fuji, I stayed at Setokan, located at an altitude of 2700 meters. Dinner included 8,000 yen, curry rice and macaroni salad, it was worth the climb from Sengen Shrine, and the curry dinner was very special 👍On a sunny day, the view while drinking beer is the best 👍Although I couldn't see the scenery on a clear day, the night view, or the sunrise...I was able to enjoy it much more slowly than when I saw the sea of clouds or from the top of the mountain.I started having a headache from the 5th episode, but after spending the night at Setokan, I felt fine the next day. I think it was a good time to get used to the altitude. The people at the mountain hut were also very kind and nice. I was able to reach the summit safely the next day👍
