I'm impressed that they were able to create something like this in Tenryu Village, located in the southernmost part of Nagano Prefecture, on the Iida Line, which has several famous and unexplored stations throughout the country, and which has one of the highest rates of elderly people in the country. It is the bridge that distributes dam cards, and has excellent transportation access as it is connected to Hiraoka Station, the gateway to Tenryu Village, and hot spring water is available for ordering, so you can enjoy the hot springs. You can go to the Tenryu River bed within walking distance, and you can buy and eat products from Tenryu Village. Of course, in September, there will also be that "teizanasu".Due to access to the Iida Line, it is difficult to cross Nagano Prefecture until 8:32 a.m. to head north, so if you want to enjoy Tenryu Village, we recommend staying multiple nights. We definitely recommend it for those consecutive nights or for solo enjoyment.

This was a relief as there were no lodging facilities nearby. From September 12, 2024, the tanker truck will be out of order and will not be able to transport the hot springs. I wonder what happened...

I received a dam card for Hiraoka Dam at the front desk. This inn is attached to Hiraoka Station, so even if you're not a train fan, you'll be intrigued.

I used it the night before climbing Mt. Hikaru in the Southern Alps. This is a quaint inn located inside the station. There is a parking lot, a large public bath, and a restaurant with a last order of 7:30pm, so I was able to relax without having to go out after arriving. The restaurant's set meal also has more rice than usual, so it's best to bring some before climbing. The refrigerator was in the common hallway, and I could use the microwave, so I was able to bring my own breakfast for the next morning and eat it relatively freely.I look forward to working with you again.

When I woke up early in the morning to take a walk around Tenryu Village, I found that all the exits were locked from one end to the other, making it impossible to get out.Apparently this hotel is very strict about the curfew, so please make sure to check in on time.

I enjoyed my room because I could see the trains arriving and departing. The hot springs seem to come from somewhere in a tank, but the alkaline springs make your skin smooth 😃This time, I stayed with meals included, so I was able to enjoy the Shinshu salmon and salt-grilled sweetfish bone wine, which was delicious. Since you can't go out at night, there are vending machines (alcohol too), but it's best to do your shopping for late night snacks in advance.

This is a comfortable inn to stay at.On the 4th floor, we had the Shinshu salmon bowl and Seiryu bowl. There are also buses that take you to the Iida Line, Tenryu Village, and Toyamago, so you don't have to worry about transportation.

In early April, when the Cherry Blossom Festival was being held in front of Hiraoka Station, I stayed in a Japanese-style room with breakfast included (at the Cherry Blossom Festival, there was a mochi toss, and I received cup noodles and vegetable juice as prizes😊). The Japanese-style room facing the station had only frosted glass and no curtains, letting in the light from outside, but it was quiet and I was able to take a good rest. There was also a surprisingly large balcony, from where you could watch the last train work. For dinner, I had planned to just have alcohol and snacks that I bought from a nearby supermarket, but I was feeling a little lonely, so I went to the dining room on the 4th floor. I ordered salt-grilled yamame trout, Genghis and Kikusui. The Genghis in particular was even more delicious than I had imagined.Although the guest rooms were almost full, the baths were never crowded in the mornings and evenings, and at most three people could enjoy a relaxing soak. The water is smooth. The only disappointing thing was that the store on the second floor was temporarily closed the next day, so I couldn't buy lunch for the Hikyo Station tour and had to settle for sweets 😁The employees were very nice. It has a nice feel and is a comfortable inn for 8,000 yen per person.

The rooms are small and a business hotel? I stayed on the 3rd floor, but there is no toilet or washroom on the floor!
