When I arrived at the pension and got out of the car, I thought how clean the air was.Knowing that it is 1500 meters above sea level makes sense. However, it may be good not only to have a high altitude but also to be surrounded by beautiful trees and rivers. After putting down my bag and wanting to get some fresh air again, I went outside and was able to see a deer!Including the fawn, there were about seven deer, which is rare. It was the first time in 20 years that I had seen a deer in the wild, so I was very impressed. The room had a loft and was a little small, but it was a soothing space with a view of the surrounding trees. The loft has a skylight, and if it's sunny you can see the stars, but it was raining lightly so I couldn't see them. However, the rain also had a magical feel to it, which was good.By the way, there was no air conditioning, but we had a comfortable stay even in September. The restaurant is run by a gentle couple, and the dinner was gentle and very delicious. Apparently the rice for the meal was made by a relative, so I had to get a second helping. There are hot springs available by the hour and free, and both were great for relieving fatigue. The open-air bath where you can feel the nature is the best.In the morning, I took a short walk before breakfast and was able to see deer again.I once again realized what a wonderful pension it is to be able to experience nature such as flora and fauna so close to home. For breakfast, the soup had a gentle taste, and the bread was homemade and delicious. We were also able to see wild birds during breakfast. It might have been nice to have September, which was a pleasant season that wasn't too hot or too cold, but I would also like to come in spring or winter. There are also many manga, so it might be nice to read while feeling nature.I didn't have time this time, so I couldn't do it, but I would like to walk around more. This is a recommended pension.

The owner and his wife provided kind and courteous customer service, and I was able to relax very comfortably. The inside of the facility was well-maintained, and it felt clean and relaxing. What's especially noteworthy is the exquisite, handmade dishes made with heart. The fish dishes for dinner are also elegantly seasoned and taste good with chopsticks. Consommé soup that has been simmered for a long time has so much umami that you can drink it forever. The main course, the beef stew with beef tongue, has been served for 25 years, so it's perfectly suited as a main course. The Gin-shari rice is made with Koshihikari rice made by the uncle of the owner's wife, and has a beautiful balance of chewiness and sweetness. It goes well with stews and fish dishes, and is so delicious that you can eat it endlessly. . The last dessert was just the right amount of sweetness and was refreshing. For breakfast, the pot-au-feu is soft and delicious. I feel very refreshed and refreshed in the morning, and the homemade bread is fluffy and delicious, and once I soaked the pot-au-feu in it, there's nothing more I can say. This time, I was very tired and mentally exhausted from work, but I'm really glad that my wife chose this inn, and the warm emails from the owner and his wife were a great boost to my soul. thank you very much. It has become a memorable pension that I would like to visit again next time, even during the winter season.

I used it the day before climbing Mt. Tateshina in early November. The guest room and bathroom had the atmosphere of a small training camp, but the dinner was delicious and the staff were very attentive. From the appetizers to the main dishes, everything was delicious, especially the famous beef tongue stew, which had a melt-in-the-mouth texture that melted in your mouth. It was a wonderful inn where we could enjoy Nagano's nature to the fullest, with raccoon dogs visiting the garden at night and nuthatches chirping in the morning.

Appetizers such as quiche, sea bream, and beef tongue stew are delicious for both dinner and breakfast. Breakfast bread and pot-au-feu are recommended.Unfortunately, I didn't see a bullfinch, but I did see a deer just outside the pension.

I used it in the summer of 2023.Anyway, the thoughtfulness of the owner and his wife is wonderful. When you enter the room, each room has a message card, which makes you feel that they really value the time you spend here.I chose the tongue stew for dinner because it looked delicious, but the pot-au-feu for breakfast was also really delicious. In addition to the bathroom in the room, there were two types of baths: one that required a reservation, and one that didn't require a reservation and could be used if it was available. It's a small pension, so the guests seem to notice each other and use it effectively. The location and atmosphere is typical of a villa on the highlands, and the small birds and squirrels that come to the balcony during breakfast are soothing. It was a nice stay, more than I expected considering the price. I would love to stay again 😊

You could call it Oku Tateshina, it's really in the back of the villa area. Therefore, it was very quiet and I was able to spend a relaxing and wonderful holiday with only the sound of the river and the voices of birds and insects. The food and the couple's personalities are just as everyone has said. This is a pension that once you've been there, you'll want to go again.

Generally, I don't like pensions, but this one was just as wonderful as the reviews said. The husband and wife were very attentive and kind, and I felt very comfortable with them, and I was able to stay there with peace of mind. The accommodation is very clean. I could tell that the couple were very attentive. The private open-air bath was also clean and comfortable. The food was delicious both breakfast and dinner. However, the amount was not enough for my large husband. It was a wonderful pension where you could encounter deer and squirrels.

I went with an online reservation. The host and his wife were both very nice and the food was delicious. The best things about a pension are the food and the host's personality. There were two baths, one for private use and one for free. I was relieved to see deer and Japanese squirrels coming to get food. I thought it would be even better during the autumn leaves season. It was an inn that I would like to visit again.
