A stay to remember! We live in Tokyo and have been planning a stay at nomanomori for quite sometime, and it came to fruition last weekend. We’ve always been to the more touristy side of Nagano (Hakuba etc.), surprisingly Chino area had quite a lot of serene locations along the Venus line road, yet not many visitors. The moment we entered nomanomori and received by Sen-san with a big smile and greetings in Tamil(language of my hometown Chennai India), we knew this one was going to be special. Sen-san is full of life, never a quiet moment (in a good way) when she is around and she gave a full tour of the property. Not just tamil, her English and Japanese skills are no less than a native speaker. She introduced us to Taka-san (her husband who is Japanese), and we were surprised to know they run the place all by themselves with no help. You could really tell, the amount of effort maintaining the property, great attention to detail with the interior decor and lighting, things carefully and thoughtfully placed, and every corner kept spot clean. The rooms were quite spacious, and the private bath just what we needed after a tiring day. At dinner we tasted Taka-san’s collection of some good local Sake, had long casual conversations with our hosts about all kinds of topics. The next morning I took an early morning walk to Tateshina waterfalls just a KM away from the property. We were even lucky to see spotted deer crossing the road and passing the property backyard, and yeah lots of colorful birds too. Breakfast was delicious with fresh ingredients and homemade bread. We happened to carry some South Indian filter coffee and Sen-san was kind enough to brew it for us and we enjoyed a cuppa together after breakfast.Although it was short, we knew for sure that we were going to visit again, probably in the fall or winter time.

The room and toilet were so disgusting that I couldn't stay there, so I hurriedly moved to another hotel. (Of course, I paid the price💦) This accommodation is not suitable for this price.

Located in a corner of the villa area in Oku-Tateshina, it is a place where you can feel at ease just by being there. It's beautiful in both summer and winter. The owner was very knowledgeable about tourist spots, and I felt happy just having breakfast on the wooden deck prepared by his wife, who is from India and is fluent in Japanese.

Stayed on 11/9.①When I opened the window in the morning (I think it was around 6:30), there was a squirrel running around between the trees! If you go out on the terrace, will you see a family of deer? About three of them ran off, hopping their white butts. . It was a dream come true to be able to greet the morning with such a scene.② Is the bath spacious and handmade? The bathroom has a taste that is not your typical unit bath, and it feels like you have visited Scandinavia. Well, I've never been to Northern Europe. .③The room is perfect for a quiet night. Plus, it's fully equipped with Wi-Fi, so you don't have to worry if you need to use your smartphone to do business.④It was my first time visiting this place, but Google Navi guided me around without any problems. However, the navigation system in my old car took me to a completely different place. .⑤I felt that it was necessary and sufficient for a B&B style. It seems like the owners are running the store through trial and error every day.⑥It would have been better to know the prices during bar time. . Or, you can tell them the budget for alcohol in advance and prepare it. Well, how much? That's a good thing to ask, but wouldn't it be better to see it in a list? and.⑦The parking lot is at the very front, so if you back up too far, it will block the passage, and if you back up too far, the right door will hit the branches of the trees when you open the door, so be careful if you are driving a new car. Well, since our car is 10 years old, we were worried about the branch that was already on the verge of breaking, but if your car is new, scratches can psychologically ruin your trip.⑧Breakfast is very good! It will give you the necessary amount of energy, so there is no harm in purchasing it in terms of price. This is the inn I chose when I visited the Kita Yatsugatake area for the first time, and I was quite satisfied with it 😊This is especially recommended for people who enjoy being close to nature, but find camping tiring to set up, and when they try to sleep at night they think about taking it down in the morning! I also think it would be a good idea for people who want to own a villa to stay there and use it as a reference.

Stayed there last winter. Was a great experience all around! They were very hospitable extremely attentive. Their service extended beyond just our stay there, with great recommendations around Nagano and even other parts of japan. Highly enjoyed my time there and planning on coming back next winter again! Really one of the best bnb experiences I have ever had.

We really enjoyed staying there. Hosts are welcoming and kind, rooms are spotlessly clean and cozy, the place is surrounded by beautiful trees and nature, we also saw deer close by. Breakfast was a wonderful start of the day, it was really really delicious and lovingly put together. We fell in love with the location and hosts and hope to visit again in different seasons. In the evening we relaxed on the outdoor patio, just sitting there and enjoying the smell of the woods.
