I use it occasionally for day trip baths. The price went up to 400 yen this summer. If you forget that the price has increased and you pay 500 yen, Baa-chan at the reception will give you 200 yen in change lol.The old, run-down bathroom has two hot (feels like 43-44 degrees) and warm (40-41 degrees) rooms, and that's about it. There are three stalls, but only two have hot water, and only one has a shower. But for some reason, there are so many Kerorin tubs. There is some shampoo and soap available, but I'm not sure if it's provided or if I forgot something. There was a cup that looked like it was for drinking hot spring water, so when I tried drinking it, it was extremely sour. A very acidic hot spring that makes you sweat. If you're going to take a long bath, it's a good idea to bring cold water.Kawayu Onsen is undergoing a wave of redevelopment (apparently), and it may not be long before we can enjoy this atmosphere.

I used it for a day trip. The facilities were old and the room was dark, but the hot springs were nice. You can take a day trip even if it's relatively early.

20240726 Visited "Hotel Kaiko" for a day trip to the hot springs. The spring quality is hypotonic, acidic, high temperature, acidic sulfur-containing iron (II) sodium chloride sulfate spring (hydrogen sulfide type). 49.1℃. pH1.7. Clear, colorless, sour and astringent taste with hydrogen chloride odor. Adults: 400 yen. Free shoe rack, no lockers. There are virtually no amenities such as soap. There are 4 indoor baths and 2 indoor baths (medium temperature, high temperature). No open air. This is a reasonable hot spring inn located in Kawayu Onsen where you can take a day trip bath. The price has increased from 300 yen to 400 yen from 7/1. The quality of the spring water is perfect. The bathtub is warm and hot, so you can take a long bath. There are used soap and shampoo in the bathroom, but I think it would be safer to bring your own. There is no place to cool off, such as for outdoor bathing. There's no fan in the changing room, so it's hot, but if you turn on the ventilation fan from outside, it'll be a little cooler. The overall atmosphere is similar to the public baths of yesteryear, but the quality of the spring water at this price is hard to beat.

Hot springs ♨️ are nice though! The environment is not well maintained! First, use the razor you used in the bathroom 🪒 just like that! Don't even leave your toothbrush out! There is a match by the kerosene! At the end of the day! There is a ladder 🪜! When the child comes! Really dangerous! I want it on the shelf! I want you to put away the matches too!
