I was welcomed in a homely atmosphere and felt very comfortable. I liked it so much that I had to repeat it. I was able to relax in the living room and kitchen, chat with the guests who were there, and just relax. The rooms are clean and stylish. The hallways and dirt floor are wonderful, giving you the warmth of wood that can only be found in an old folk house. I want to go again.

It was a retro guesthouse that looked like a renovated old folk house. It was my first time staying at a guesthouse and I was nervous, but I'm glad I made my debut at this guesthouse.Above all, the staff and customers are warm. When you go out and come back, they say, ``Welcome back.'' It made me feel like I was back home ( ´◡` )We stayed in a loft room and it was very private and comfortable.Other family members stayed in a dormitory, but the curtains protect their private space, so they can sleep without worrying about being seen.We share the toilet, kitchen, refrigerator, living room, shower, and sink, but it was very easy to use. There was also a bar in the living room🥃🍷For breakfast, we took turns eating at a local rice ball shop that was introduced to us 🍙In the morning, you can enter a nearby public bath for 280 yen, so I lent them bath tools and went in while enjoying the local feeling ♨️The lights are turned off at 11pm, so if you walk in the middle of the night you can hear footsteps, but that's a good thing. You can hear the insects chirping on the verandah and feel soothed. We also had a family photo taken on the porch, which was a wonderful memory.Next time I would like to stay overnight. It has become one of the accommodations I would like to visit again.

Showa era? Taisho? There was a front and a back.(Parking spaces for 4 cars in the front? 3 cars in the back)I thought the back was the front.I mistakenly thought the helper was a customer😆The inside feels nostalgic. The retro feel is irresistible.I was walking barefoot, but I can't tell you how good it feels until I go.The tiled bathroom sink on the second floor in the kitchen is also really nice✨✨✨As I walked through the hallway on the second floor, the wooden doors creaked and creaked, each one of them very nice. The toilet is modern🚽You will have 10 minutes to check in, learn about the nearby baths, location, temperature, soba restaurant, and fireworks at Lake Suwa.3 hours free parking near Kamisuwa Station 🈚️🈚️🈚️✨Souvenirs are also available at the supermarket, so you can find this, that, and that, and it's cheap.I've heard about the top 7 recommendations. The soba restaurant was closed, so I was curious about the miso tempura bowl.I took my time here and watched the fireworks from the pedestrian bridge🎆It was beautiful and powerful.I returned to the inn, prepared my bed, and went to the living room with 2 to 3 old men (including myself).Draft beer (prepaid style)Help come hereA male college student came,One working woman,1 adult male,Two female university students,Well, I had a fun and meaningful time.I want to repeat it again. This is the place to stay if you go to Lake Suwa.Lights went out at 11pm and it arrived in no time.It looked like it would last until morning 🎶Bath set rental available (free 🈚️)Looks like a local. . .Greetings with the owner the next morningPlease let me know where I can have breakfast.I went to eat rice balls with the person staying at the hotel.return to the innLet's all take pictures and ask each other where are we going today? Talk about things likeI'm going. (on the way home)

I highly recommend Guesthouse Masuya for visiting Lake Suwa and its surroundings! The hosts are lovely, speak English very well, and provide great recommendations for the city's hotspots. The atmosphere is very welcoming, and the wooden guesthouse is beautiful. It was truly a great stay, thank you for everything!

The guesthouse is a renovated former inn with an old-fashioned atmosphere. The staff recommended public baths and restaurants, and we had fun exploring the city. The bar is open in the living room at night, so I visited the bar, but locals (immigrants?) occupied the counter, didn't say hello, and couldn't engage in conversation because of inside jokes. It might have been different if the guest was a woman. Guests feel humbled by drinking at the edge. I wanted to drink more alcohol. The price is high for a guest house, so I was left feeling a bit uneasy about the atmosphere.

This place is quite famous not only in Nagano but also among guesthouses across the country. Actually, I went to this place because it was recommended to me by a Japanese acquaintance, so I didn't know the details, but did you know that it was a remodeled inn from the Meiji era?Anyway, looking at other comments, they are all different, but when I visited, it was around New Year's, so I was puzzled by the age range of visitors. Since it's a guesthouse, I thought they might be the oldest, but the average age seems to be mid to late 40s.The room itself was okay because it was the most recently renovated room and the most expensive room, but it was old.If you stop by Lake Suwa, it might be worth staying there at least once.

This was my first time using the facility, but I got the impression that many of the staff knew each other. I was happy to be able to get people involved for the first time, but I felt that it was a high hurdle to join the excitement among my family.Whether you'll get hooked or not seems to be extremely divided.
