Paid 5100 yen per night for this hostel. Definitely way too overpriced for what it provides compared to other places. Would've considered a higher rating for price vs quality ratio.PrivacyIf you're sleeping on the top bed, the ceiling of your compartment is exposed, so people that climb the ladder for the next compartment can see you. At least you have ample headroom.NoiseIf you're the type to be somewhat affected by noise, the building the hostel is in is occupied by izakayas, so you can hear noises from the top.BrightnessThe lights do not go out during night time, so if you're sleeping in the top compartment, best to bring a sleeping mask with you.Ceiling pipingObviously from the pics, there are exposed pipings. Aesthetics aside, it seemed that the pipings are drainage pipes. You can occasionally hear water being discharged in short spans from these pipes. Unsure if it's sink waste or something else, but at least it's not leaking.CleanlinessSome parts are really dusty, on some obvious places and not-so ones, especially if you sleep above.LockerThere is a small locker that could probably fit a handbag to store your valuables, but the doors on these are hard to close and open and make a lot of noise. Not ideal to use at night or early in the morning.Plus stuff- They have a washing machine, a dryer, and a public clothesline.- If you have a large luggage, there is an ample amount of room beneath the bunkbeds, and could fit a lot more.- Quite well ventilated and cool.- Close to the station, bunch of shopping and food options.Overpriced for what I've paid for, but if it was 2000+ yen like what others have said, I would've tolerated it and might not mind staying there again.

It's cheap and close to Niigata Station. There are a variety of books, and it seems good for people who like books. However, I was concerned about the dust in the changing room and sink.

Quite close to Niigata Station and 2,500 yen per night is a bargain. It's completely unmanned, so if a problem arises, you'll have to be able to deal with it on your own. If it's your first time visiting a guest house, it's probably best to avoid it.The top bunk of the bed is very difficult to get up. That was the hardest partThere is no door between the bathroom, kitchen, and bed area, so you can't hear the sound of the hair dryer or microwave.I think it would be nice to have an outlet and storage for small items at the head of the bed (as many guesthouses don't have).Although the light is dimmed at 22:00, it is not pitch black, so some people may not be able to sleep without a blindfold.

My mother wanted to stay in a capsule hotel, so I stayed with her, but it was horrible.I don't even want to give 1 star.I was given the wrong room.I can't help but make a mistake, but the hotel won't answer the phone. No matter how many times I called, I couldn't get into the room I reserved because I couldn't get an answer.Even if I call, it's a waste of time and smartphone power and I can't answer. However, I was able to get a response through the chat on the reservation site.I wonder what the phone number is for.I was on the upper bed, but the footsteps from upstairs were noisy. Noisy for hours. What's more, the upper bed has an empty upper wall on the aisle side, so it's always bright and you can see what's next to you. I can't sleep in peace. If there is a problem, the staff will not be there and will not answer the phone, so it will take time to resolve the issue, so we do not recommend staying with only women.

unmanned guest houseDormitory type accommodationShower available, hair dryer available, shared space availableA very comfortable spaceYou can enter the room by reading it from your mobile phone! Please note that if your mobile phone has communication restrictions or the battery is low, it will become clogged. There is a Starbucks nearby so you can charge your batteries there. If something doesn't fit, you can send an email from the site you made the reservation and they will take care of it for you.Unbeatable price! cheap! Inside, there are quite a few comic books and other items on the shelves. There were quite a few people entering the room, so be careful of noise.

This is a low-cost dormitory located about 5 minutes from Niigata Station. They don't seem to answer the phone, so if something happens, I think it's safe to contact them by email.I felt like I was staying on a bookshelf. It was interesting to have a variety of books. There were also books on cameras, art books, and other items that you don't often see in libraries. The shower room is quite small. It may be difficult for large people. Comes with shampoo, conditioner, and body soap. It seemed like the ventilation fan also stopped when I turned off the lights, so I was a little worried about the dirt. That's all I was concerned about.Basically, I think it was thoroughly cleaned.Wi-Fi was off. There are areas with desks and chairs so you can do desk work.Amenities are available for a fee, and it is a system where you put money in and take them yourself. There was a microwave and refrigerator.Overall, it's worth the price. I thought it was cheap considering it was near the station.I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity.postscriptI'm concerned that my bookshelf is in disrepair. I would like them to not only clean the inside of the building but also organize the bookshelves.

It is a completely unmanned facility, so to enter you must unlock the door using your PIN code. The review said that the PIN number would be sent to you via email, so I waited, but the email never arrived, and when I called, they didn't answer.I went there anyway, and there was a note posted to me on the entrance door, with instructions on how to use it and my PIN number. Was something wrong? What about security? Well, I think it's okay. The room is very clean. The toilet, washroom and shower are also very clean. There is an entrance on the wall of the bookshelf, and there is enough space to sleep. It's like a capsule hotel. However, you can hear the sounds from the rooms next door and above (or below). The floors and walls are made of simple plywood, which makes a creaking noise. The room was almost full on the day I stayed, but everyone was so quiet that I was reluctant to open or close the curtains or move around in bed. However, the people nearby were snoring noisily. When you check out, put the fee in the envelope provided at the entrance counter and put it in the mailbox next to the entrance. For people who are OK with sleeping. It's nice that the system is unmanned, but I wish they would answer the phone.Personally, I love cheap hotels like this, and will use them again when I go to Niigata.

We have the minimum requirements.Looking at the reviews, I guess I was lucky that it was cheap and empty.
