I stayed here during ski season last year, and every meal was delicious! The bed was comfortable, the service was good, and I had a comfortable stay. I like beds more than futons, so if there's a room with bunk beds and twin beds, it might be nice for a family of four to stay together.I'm looking forward to the future!

If and when we return to Nozawa, this is where we'll stay every time! Seiko and her team offer an efficient, welcoming, and hospitable experience. At every opportunity, from arrival to departure, they were helpful and accommodating. Thank you for a wonderful stay!

I stayed at this traditional Japanese ryokan for 7 days in January with my family. We initially chose this accommodation over the others because of Seiko Kono's reputation for serving up locally sourced tasty Japanese meals. Even the blueberry jam she serves is made locally ( not too sweet and so flavourful).Pros:- the breakfast meals are sensational! Excellent quality food. Typical breakfast: rice, grilled fish ( everyday is different eg salmon, mackerel etc), pickles, miso, bacon and eggs, yogurt and toast- Outstanding dinners. These are rarely served as its lots of work for the host. We were honoured she agreed to cook for us for 2 nights of our stay. We booked months ahead of time.- very very clean- We loved the drying room and ski storage on basement level.- It's a 7 min walk uphill to the new Nagasaka gondola.- Akiha no Yu public onsen is right next door ( if you don't want to wait for the scheduled bath times)- two onsen baths that are the perfect 39 degree. Kids could enjoy it too.- affordable quick laundry service in the powder room- vending machine inside dining room- sports channel and daily snow cams in the tv room- friendly hosts- we used the tak-Q-bin (black cat luggage courier) service and had our luggage sent to the airport (3 days required)- hosts sold onsen liner bus tickets- choice of western bed or tatami mats. We opted for tatami mats because they are easily packed away during the day and allowed for more space- close to the main street- good wifiOthers:- prepare to pay cash on check out- not ideal for children under the age of 10. It's a very quiet lodge and noise does carry- shared toilet and shower/onsen bath- difficult to find initially (entrance is down a driveway)

Really loved staying at Marushige Lodge - very convenient location and very friendly and thoughtful staff. Seiko and Yuki are fantastic and so welcoming. Definitely get the breakfast as well - Very tasty and different each day. Would love to stay there again for my next visit to Nozawa Onsen.

The hotel is warm and cleanThe water in the bathhouse is not flowing and there is no distinction between men and women. I feel it is a bit too clean and I don’t dare to take a bath. Dinner is 2,500 yen per person.

Stayed for 2 nights in mid-February.It's in a great location, 10 minutes walk to Nagasaka Gondola, 10 minutes walk to the downtown area around Oyu, and 1 minute walk to Akiba no Yu.Meals include home-cooked dishes such as yellowtail and meat and potatoes, as well as dishes that are not normally eaten, such as horse sashimi, seared rainbow trout, and salt-grilled rainbow trout. Also, pickled Nozawana is the best. You can also eat delicious rice to your heart's content.The room feels like an old-fashioned guesthouse. It's a little disappointing that the toilet is shared, but it's not a problem.And the price. In the middle of high season, it's just under 10,000 yen per night! It was an inn with an exquisite location, the best value for money, and a friendly proprietress.

When my family of three went skiing in Nozawa for the first time in February of this year, I was introduced to Marushige by a friend and we used Marushige.The room had three beds and plenty of space to store a large amount of ski luggage, making it a relaxing stay.The meals were made with carefully selected ingredients and rice, and were really delicious.My elementary school daughter was hooked on her mom's homemade nozawana pickles and enjoyed eating them every day!I was able to enjoy Nozawa to the fullest as it was close to the ski resort and easy to access delicious restaurants and public baths.I'm thinking of visiting you this winter too!

A highly recommended accommodation.I'm sure the family that owns the inn is top notch. A soft and homely space, a clean private room, a delicious dinner made with skillful preparation of safe local ingredients, a fun time at the table, and relaxing access to Nozawa's hot springs. After having a happy dream on the futon, sitting at the breakfast table and smelling the homemade jam and coffee, I felt like I wanted to go again, even though I'm not good at skiing.It's no wonder that there are so many fans from overseas who are thinking about Marushige.You will be captivated by the comfort.

It's a very comfortable inn. There are both Japanese-style tatami (futon) and Western-style (bed) rooms, both of which are relaxing and relaxing.The meals are home-cooked and delicious, and the rice is carefully prepared using ingredients that are good for the body and full of the nutrition of an athlete's diet. No wonder his son is an all-Japanese alpine skier. There is also a room on the first floor where you can tune up your skis.There is an indoor hot spring ♨️ and an outdoor bath Akiba no Yu right next to it. It's like my second home, and I've been coming here ever since I was a student.Lately, I've even been going home from my parents' house (lol)Located between a ski resort and a shopping district, it is in a good location and provides nutritious meals in the morning and evening, making it a perfect facility for leisure and training camps.Athletes from all walks of life also take care of us, so if you're lucky you might even meet them!
