We loved our experience here. We booked through Nozawa Hoilday site and it was seamless transaction. The rooms were traditional which was just to our liking. We shared bathroom facilities but rarely ran into any other guests. The staff were very welcoming and gave us an amazing run down of the village. The private onsen on site is a godsend, especially for those that dont yet want to fair the public onsen. Perfect location about a 2-5min walk to the main street. Everything is fairly close in Nozawa so most accommodation is ideally situated. About a 10min walk to the base of the mountain for those skiing/boarding. Blissful time, highly recommend!!

Unfortunately I never got to complete my booking and had to cancel due to a death in the family that I had to fly back to Australia for but I am extremely grateful that they were kind enough to offer me a full refund even though it is not in their policy to do so. It was such a huge relief! I will 100% be booking here next trip just because of this kind gesture.

The facilities were good and the building was clean.You can also eat dinner at the attached bar. Personally, I really liked the drink Yuzu Margarita. The food is a Japanese experience that you can enjoy with your eyes, and I think the taste will please both Japanese and foreign people (^^) It looked stylish ♡In the morning, we had all-you-can-eat bread, cereal, coffee, and juice (^^)Even though the bath wasn't hot, my body felt warm even after I got out.There is a smoking area at the entrance, which is great for smokers.Although none of the staff members were Japanese, they were all friendly (^^) Some of them could speak Japanese, which was helpful.

Loved the experience of staying at the lodge. A gentle introduction to Japanese lodge living for a first-time Australian visitor. Staff are Aussies and were very helpful. They have their own onsen with all of the instructions in English, which really helps when I had no idea what I was doing. Food at the attached restaurant, Potts, was excellent, too.

It's hard to find better Nozawaonsen accommodation than Lodge Yokochi!Run by Tia & Tyson, along with their friendly staff, they are doing a fabulous job - exceeding expectations with their level of service and attention to detail.The location is perfect - a short walk to access the 'moving walk way', which lands you at the Hakage Ski Gondola but even better, it is situated in the 'heart' of Nozawa for restaurants and bars.I highly recommended Lodge Yokochi
