Old outdated hotelYou can't use the elevator as soon as you arrive. The tatami mats, walls, and chairs in the room are stained. The bathroom in the room is dirtyThe public bath is only open from 17:00 to 22:00.Only one indoor bathI have no motivation to enter the sauna because of the sign prohibiting entry...although the coronavirus has already been brought under control.I haven't done it in the morning either. The view from the room is not badIn short, it's not worth staying.

Although the room is a little tired, it is quite spacious and the toilet and bath have been renovated and are clean.I could see the sea, the island, and Hirado Castle from the window of my room, and it was quite relaxing. The nearby convenience store is not open 24 hours, so if you want to eat breakfast, it is better to order breakfast at the hotel (¥1100 tax included). It also came with a local specialty, subo (fish cake rolled in a bamboo basket and steamed), and it was delicious.

I used it for Golden Week, and although the building is old, the inside was clean and beautiful. I opted for a breakfast only plan, but I was very satisfied with the rice and miso soup, which came with free refills, and the small side dishes that changed each day for consecutive nights. There were also plenty of amenities available at the front desk.

It's probably an old hotel. Although it cannot be denied that the building is aging, it has been renovated with great effort and I was able to spend a comfortable time there. The room, which used to be a Japanese-style room, was renovated into a Japanese-Western style (bed), and what would have been a closet became a separate washroom and a brand new toilet. The bath in the room was also a unit bath with ample space. The wallpaper had been replaced and it was a comfortable room. The public bath was cleaned properly, and I didn't get the impression that some previous reviews had.As for the food, I'm satisfied with it.It was a good stay.

How long will the coronavirus pandemic last in Hirado? Hot spring baths are operating for shortened hours in the name of preventing the spread of coronavirus infection.
