Mimata Onsen has almost no public transportation, so if you travel by public transportation like me, you'll probably have to stay at a facility like this one that provides transportation and soak in a hot spring for the first time.Pick-up and drop-off is available from the Kanagi bus stop on the Hiroshima-Hamada highway bus. The Kinjo bus stop is located inside the PA, so you can use the restrooms and vending machines.Expressway buses seem to be quite crowded depending on the season and time of day, but at such times, it seems that there are temporary two-vehicle services.During Obon, there was a notice at the bus stop that numbered tickets would be distributed at the bus terminal in front of Hiroshima Station, so it seems to be quite crowded. When I used the bus, it was almost full at the time of departure from the Hiroshima Bus Center, which is next to Hiroshima Station, but I gradually got off the bus on the way, and by the time I got to the Kinjo bus stop, there were empty seats. Also, on the way back, I took the 9:00 bus towards Hamada, but there were only a few passengers. When I checked with the person responsible for picking up and dropping off, I was told that it is highly unlikely that I would not be able to board the bus from the Kinjo bus stop. The facility seems to have been recently renovated and has a new interior overall. The room I stayed in had a slanted ceiling, similar to an attic. The washlet and sink are new and are sufficient for one person to use, but there are some things to keep in mind. The air conditioner is installed under the window counter, but the air outlet is facing the side of the bed, so when you sleep in bed, the right side of your body is intensively cooled. Even with the cooling mode set to "quiet", there was a fair amount of airflow.Considering the room shape, I think the orientation and position of the bed can be changed, so I think a different bed layout would be more comfortable. Also, the only place to dry the towels and bath towels used in the hot springs is the hanger in the open closet (there is no drying rack like you would find in a hot spring inn).Face towels are provided in the changing room of the public bath, so are they disposable? You can only hang the bath towels to dry.Since there were only two hangers, I was worried about how to hang clothes and bath towels together. The hot spring is a simple alkaline hot spring + metasilicic acid unique to Mimata Onsen. The basic method is circulation disinfection, but hot water was supplied to the indoor bath from a spout in addition to the circulation spout, so the hot water may have come from the source. The food seems to be worth the price. It is said that wild ayu can be caught in the nearby river, and for 800 yen/fish, you can have the ayu grilled with salt. I didn't order it this time because I wouldn't be able to finish it all.)Dinner and breakfast will be served at the venue.Families and families with children who are likely to make a fuss seem to be placed in a separate venue or towards the end of the venue, and I think this is also taken into consideration for solo travelers like me.As for the wait staff, the one in charge of me at dinner was a middle-aged man, but perhaps he wasn't very used to serving, as he didn't explain the food content or alcohol, and sometimes he ordered the wrong sake, and the food... I didn't think the response was very positive, as they took down the order form in the middle of the process (other tables were explaining the food and drinks, so I think it was a difference between the staff). As for breakfast, the whole meal was prepared at the grandmother's level, but the air conditioner was too strong and it was extremely cold (my seat was in front of the air outlet, so it was especially cold), so I turned the air conditioner down. I told him that I wanted him to do it, but then he went somewhere, and after 5-10 minutes, he suddenly opened the door to the hallway behind me without any explanation (probably to adjust the room temperature). I think that's what you did)In the end, before that, I operated the control panel and changed the temperature from 22℃ to 24℃ without any problems.Overall, although there is still room for improvement in operations as it has just been renovated, I think it is a valuable inn that offers pick-up and drop-off services at Mimata Onsen.
