The cross in a circle is the family crest of the Shimazu family of the Satsuma domain, so there must be some connection. Anyway, it's a retro Showa inn. There seem to be a lot of solo female travelers. It felt like it could only accommodate a maximum of 7 people. There is an air conditioner and TV in the room, but there is no Wi-Fi, refrigerator, bath, or toilet. Also, there is only an internal key, and it cannot be locked from the outside. But it seems to be well taken care of.There is one hot spring for men and one for women. It's quite hot so it takes a while for your body to get used to it. I think it's probably over 45 degrees. However, since it is a 100% free-flowing hot spring with no water added, it feels like the ingredients are concentrated.Even on Saturdays, you can stay for less than 10,000 yen with two meals per night, and the food is delicious. It's home-cooked food, but I can feel that they use only good ingredients and that the proprietress is passionate about wanting her customers to eat delicious food. I was surprised by the amount of food, but they even served Yonezawa beef steak, which was tender and delicious.

I can see that they are taking great precautions to prevent infectious diseases, such as separating alcohol and dining areas, and instructing customers to wear masks at all times.Dinner includes not only home-cooked meals but also Yonezawa beef steak, bluefin tuna sashimi, salt-grilled sweetfish, and more. The new Koshihikari rice was so delicious that I ate three bowls. The room is Japanese style. There was a TV, a stove, and an electric blanket, so I was able to spend a comfortable time. It was an old-fashioned structure that could only be locked from the inside. The bathroom was also spacious and I was able to soak in it slowly.

I used it for one night and two days in mid-November. Rakuten Travel has information about the inn, but you can't make reservations, so I called the inn directly to make a reservation. I stayed on a weekday, so I was able to rent it out exclusively. One car can be parked in front of the inn. There is a lot of traffic on the street in front, so parking is a bit difficult. The building and equipment are quite old, but they are well kept. There was no refrigerator in the room. The temperature of the hot springs is just right and it feels good. The spout was filled with hot spring ingredients. There was one shower in the back. The food is quite delicious! According to the proprietress, she takes care to make everything by hand, and everything was delicious. There are so many different kinds that if you eat them all, your stomach will be full. When I stayed, Yonezawa beef steak was not available. disappointing! I ate at the restaurant. The accommodation fee was approximately 9,800 yen. A service charge of 800 yen was included. Is it the heating cost?It was a very good inn. It is said that they do not offer day trip hot springs.

I went and was surprised! This is a ryokan that is hard to come across these days. I think it has a nice atmosphere. Everyone has different preferences.

The futon is fluffy and clean.I was very satisfied with the variety, volume, and taste of the meals. In the bath, you will feel refreshed and tingly with the salt water from Kaminoyama Onsen. It seems that someone from the Shimazu clan moved here due to a change of country, and many items with family crests were found under the floorboards of the mansion, and they are on display inside the museum.
