I visited in mid-October.The weather was nice enough to wear short sleeves on the flatlands, but it was cool when we climbed the mountains. It gets cold at night so be careful ⚠️Since we were lightly equipped, we withdrew and went indoors around 7 p.m.The other people seemed to be used to it and seemed to be enjoying the fire burning until late. The room is just a room with no refrigerator or stove. (Though it's cheaper.)It gets cold at night, so we rented a heater.Next time, I will need heating equipment and something to lay down as the floor is hard.Although it is inconvenient, the beautiful stars at night and the fresh air in the morning are worth it.

Use second siteThe first site was a bit noisy, but everyone was camping quietly at the second site.I couldn't enjoy the scenery in the forest, but it was very relaxing.I used it at the end of autumn, so there were a lot of fallen leaves, but it was nice to have a nice atmosphere. The shower was closed due to the coronavirus (now it is operational)It was a very nice campsiteHowever, due to the location of Mt. Haruna, the cockroaches that call themselves runners run wild at night and are quite noisy.Maybe because I used it on a Saturday, it was very loud. Moreover, there is a melody line, so every time the cockroaches run wild, the sound is loud. It's ringing, it's already a messGunma prefectural police should get rid of those cockroaches, really.

About 40 minutes by car from Takasaki cityI wish I had come sooner! The indirect lighting in the bungalow is also the best I've ever had.

It was my second time using it.The good points are that it's convenient because it's close to my home in Saitama, and because it's at a high altitude, you can stay cool even in the summer. The staff are very friendly and the center house sells camping goods, so don't worry if you forget something. (Thankfully, drinks in plastic bottles are also cheaper than those at convenience stores.)There were a lot of insects such as horseflies, flies, and dragonflies at this time of year, but I didn't get bitten by using mosquito repellent incense, which has a reputation for being effective.Nights after September can get quite cold, so long sleeves are a must.

It's the best place to get away from the heat. Reservations are required during the busy summer season. There are divided tent sites, free sites, and bungalows with and without electricity, and each section has free WiFi, a kitchen with hot water, and toilets. It seems that it is not open during the winter.

I stayed at a free site. You can relax under the big tree, and the facilities are perfect. However, I was very disappointed because the road near the lake was close and I could hear the sound of energetic cars until midnight. That's all~

I used a bungalow. The toilets were clean, there was hot water in the washing area, and there was a garbage disposal area, so it was easy to use. I would like to use it again.

Although it is called Lake Haruna, Mt. Haruna is enshrined in the lake area and you cannot see the lake, but you can enjoy auto camping in a quiet environment with a moderate amount of trees growing. The altitude is also high, so it was perfect for getting away from the heat (it was over 30 degrees in Maebashi, where we started, but it was just 20 degrees even during the day, making it very pleasant).
