My wife and I came to the hotel having just spent 3 days at an ultra-lux Clifftop resort in Ungasan, so made sure to calibrate our expectations but I really can’t think of enough good things to say about our stay at The Bohemian!The location is quite central to many of the good places to eat and visit, and being set back off the road means you avoid the vast majority of the noise, hustle and bustle.The whole tone is set right as you enter the “lobby” / check-in area which is just full of character immediately. It’s beautiful and tastefully done.We had the loft room which was quite large and impeccably decorated. I love the design direction, material choices, colour palette, lighting—everything.As far as the room inclusions are concerned the pool is small but all you need, there is drinking water supplied daily, turn down service, the bed was comfy and very modern and clean.What’s hard to put into a review are two things, but I’ll try. Firstly, the “vibe” is unmatched. The whole place is quiet, hip, peaceful… there was soft jazz playing as we entered our room, dark tones everywhere. You’re transported out of the chaos of Canggu immediately.Secondly, the service and the team. We were met by Wayan at check-in, who I understand manages the hotel. She was extremely easy to deal with, so warm and friendly, and it stayed this way the entire time we were there. We also had a bouquet of flowers with a beautiful note thanking us for staying for our wedding anniversary trip. On check-out we were also offered a room to freshen up and relax before our trip to the airport (also a beautiful room! Arguably better if you don’t want the stairs of a loft)I want to make a special shout to Adrian, who we dealt with most often - a lot of the times with help with getting around (more on this below), advice and just general things during our stay. He was so helpful, friendly (and funny) and has a lot of opinions about local restaurants/cafes if want some advice!Getting around: The hotel offers guests a free buggy service which will extend to many of the go-to places across Canggu and a little bit of the neighbouring area. I honestly wasn’t sure how much to use it but the team were adamant that we take them up on the offer multiple times a day and would readily drop us off and pick us up at restaurants, cafes. It’s of course dependant on availability but there wasn’t a single time we ran into issues or were left waiting. I think my overall impression of dealing with Canggu would not be the same without the buggy - it’s a *huge* plus for staying at the hotel.All in all, I’m so happy with the choice to stay at The Bohemian and I need to find a reason to get back.Last note: As of writing, the hotel is about to open two additional rooms, a larger shared pool and a communal space with a large table and breakfast area. I got a sneak peek as it was getting prepared for open in a couple weeks and I can say this will really round out the space and make it an excellent place to be and relax.Thank you Wayan, Adrian, Yunita (and even the owner Markus who was in town) for making our trip so memorable and pleasant.

I was so excited that I felt completely athome - Markus the owner and his team , have done an amazing job and every detail has been thought meticulously. The design , the quality , color , comfort and more . The pictures don’t do justice to this sanctuary of beauty and calm.It is not your typical hotel and that is why I loved it . It’s like coming home . Everyone there made me feel special and took care of all my needs . A true gem. I will definitely come back
