I stayed here on a night which was forecast to be rainy and windy while bicycle touring with a dear friend of mine. Upon arrival a very kind receptionist in the little office handed me a paper to fill out. My Japanese is quite functional but I had to admit to her that I didn't know what year it was in the Reiwa format. The way she responded, saying with a smile that she also forgets from time to time, was worth ten million suns. I doubt she has ever actually forgotten. I felt the kindness of the island that day. Our bungalow was warm and I felt the soft touch of true hope that night -- after a bath in the town's public pit and a luxurious dinner from Seicomart. Thank you bungalow and thank you receptionist. I will never forget the isles.

This time I used it for the first time when I went to Rishiri Island to climb Mt. Rishiri. There weren't many reviews, so I was a little worried about the lack of information, but after using it, I found it to be surprisingly comfortable and well-maintained, and the price was reasonable, so I'd recommend it during this season. To access Mt. Rishiri, use your own car, and you can reach the trailhead in just 30 minutes. This time we were using it with 2 people, so it was spacious, and even with the capacity of 4 people, it would be a little small, but it could still be used.As for the facilities, I was worried about insects since it's in the forest, but the room was clean and there were no dead insects, and insecticides and mosquito coils were always on hand. There are also two outlets in the room, so you can charge your smartphone without any inconvenience (I brought a power strip with me this time, which is convenient).By the way, they prepared blankets, pillows, and pillow cases for the number of people (it was warm and helpful). However, there is no indoor water supply, so you will have to use the outdoor water facilities. Also, although the restrooms are outside, they also have showers and are kept very clean. There are no food or bathing facilities within the park, but there is a Seicomart within a few minutes' drive, and there is a town-run hot spring nearby, so I didn't feel too inconvenienced. When it comes to sightseeing and lodging on Rishiri Island, some people may prefer high-end accommodation such as delicious, luxurious meals and hot springs, but the bungalows here are located in an area rich in nature and allow you to enjoy the feeling of camping. Moreover, it is well-maintained, so I would like to use it again if I have the opportunity to go mountain climbing.

The forest trail is great, but there are many mosquitoes and they are very aggressive, so be careful before entering.

It is a relatively large facility where you can stay overnight and have a barbecue. It's not a very long hike, but you can climb up part of the way by car.If you plan to bungalow, camp, or have a barbecue, you must obtain permission from the administration building in advance.

We used the bungalow in September 2020.It was 3,000 yen. There is no power. There were blankets and pillows. It's uphill from the parking lot, so it might be difficult if you have a lot of luggage. The administration building is open 24 hours a day, so I was able to charge my battery.
