I saw the sunrise from Goraiko Sanso on September 4, 2024! It was my first time climbing Mt. Fuji, but it was a thrilling experience!

It was a great mountain lodge to stay in along the way. It looks like it can accommodate over 30 people. For dinner, curry rice with a small sausage is served and a cup of tea is also served. You can also order other menu items or alcohol, such as additional rice or sake.Because it is a mountain lodge on a high mountain, the environment is harsh, but as I was leaving, I saw that the staff was very friendly and paid a lot of attention to maintaining cleanliness.Restrooms may feel hot and smelly due to the composting facilities. When it rains, you may not be able to enter with wet clothes, so it is a good idea to bring extra clothes.

Staff was great, enjoying staying here. I recommend the ear plugs. We woke and left at 2:30. Made it for sunrise, but others that are slower may want to leave earlier

I took my 4th grade child, who was not confident in his physical strength, to climb the mountain during breaks. The private room was great! It felt a little small for a family of four, but we were able to spend our time comfortably. The sleeping bag was clean and I was able to charge my phone. We left at 3am and arrived at the 8th station to see the sunrise at 5am. We climbed slowly and reached the top around 8 o'clock. I want to go again.

Book in advance and stay in a large room for one night at the mountain hut in the new No. 7. From around 7pm, the large room was turned into a room by removing the desk in the rest area in front of the entrance and covering it with curtains. It's very small with only the space for a sleeping bag, but I think it's enough for just a nap. Dinner is curry rice (with miso soup) for 1,000 yen, and you can get refills for 500 yen. If you are a Montbell member, you will receive a complimentary drink (up to 4 people per member). Guests could use the toilet for free. We arrived around 18:00, but left at 0:30 to see the sunrise.

The mountain house also charges the same fee for the open sleeping hall, which was not informed when booking the bed. You have to wait for the meal to be made before you can sleep on the bed. You can't sleep when you lie down. People keep passing by the corridor to go to the toilet. At 11pm, people start to pack their luggage. The door keeps opening and closing. It's a very poor accommodation environment and I can't rest to climb to the summit the next day. It increases the risk. Although it is better not to provide beds in the hall than to provide sleeping rooms, is it really a good idea for hot mountain enthusiasts to not be able to rest?

I only took a break here, so I didn't stay overnight!Toilet costs 300 yen!If you're going to climb Mt. Fuji, it's a good idea to have 2,000 yen worth of 100 yen coins ready! The clouds from the sea of clouds have cleared and the weather has become beautiful ☀️I took a leisurely lunch and took a break, so I felt refreshed! ️There was a menu of various dishes ♪̊̈♪̆̈
