A ryokan lost in the middle of the mountain, but from where you cannot easily access the sea below...The decor is typical of traditional Japan, and is very beautiful :)Some items of furniture age poorly, and the doors are difficult to unlock.

This ryokan is said to be famous for its oysters, but considering the price, everything else other than the food was too good to be true. In the guest room, there were spider webs, clothes were dirty on the tatami mats, and even though it was winter, no matter how many insects you killed, there were rooms where insects kept coming out, so it was not an environment where you could sleep in peace. Also, the showers in the public baths were not in good condition for both men and women to use, so it was much better to fill the tub with water and flush it over your head. The washroom was also shared and had a strange smell, and there was no Western-style room on the second floor these days, only on the first floor. There were some very inconvenient times, such as the information I had received from the travel agency was incorrect. I don't want to give even 1 star. I couldn't understand why a three-star hotel was rated so highly. Everything except the food was bad. The sea view from the only window was good.

I stayed with a plan full of oysters. We enjoyed a variety of dishes such as grilled, steamed, and fried, as well as raw, sweet and sour sauce, and gratin. It was a lot of food, I think I probably ate about 30 oysters. Also, the recommended sake, Takijiman, went well with the oysters. The building is located overlooking Matoya Bay. Although our room was on the first floor, we were able to enjoy the sunset and sunrise over Matoya Bay.Please note that there is no washlet in the room, so if you want to use it, you will need to use the communal toilet. The public bath is on the 1st floor, and the sea side is made of glass, so you can see the sea clearly. There is no hair dryer in the room, so if you want to use it, you will have to use it in the public bath. The bath water is hot.The customer service was homely, for better or worse, and it felt like I was visiting my grandparents' house.

The staff were all good people. The scenery was also nice.I was surprised at how old-fashioned the room was.It was a shame that the toilet was shared.
