It's like staying at your grandfather's parents' house who lives alone. The knowledgeable Lord is whipping his old body and doing his best on his own. Only 3,000 yen (tax included) for a room without meals, less than 10 minutes from the Mt. Ena trailhead. The room has a kotatsu, a stove, and a CRT TV. There is also a bath, and you can use the microwave freely. There were a lot of personal items in the refrigerator, so I gave up on it. Food and drinks must be purchased at the convenience store in Hirugami.Only kind-hearted nursing care customers will be allowed to stay here. It's only 3000 yen, can you complain? ?A poor, unskilled person would probably complain even if it was only 300 yen.Parking is a little difficult.Minshuku Sonohara-san, please take care of yourself. Stay healthy!

Looking at the comments here, there are a lot of ⭐️5s, but I'm going to be harsh, but this is my actual impression after staying here. I stayed here in August, and when I arrived at 4pm and opened the front door, it was hot, like a steam bath, and the smell was very unpleasant, like mold. Entrance? Lobby? I was taken to a room with a kotatsu and chairs, but there was no air conditioning and only a fan, so it was very hot and I couldn't stay in the room. There were a lot of insects in the room, so I asked for insecticide, but it wasn't available, so I went out right away because it was so hot that I would sweat if I didn't stay outside. I made a reservation to see Heaven's Stars in Sonohara. When I came to see the stars three years ago, I stayed at Hirugami Onsen, but when I returned, it was almost 11pm, so I just had to sleep. I thought a nearby guesthouse would be a good idea, so I found it on Google, read the comments, and made a reservation. It's true that 3,000 yen per person for a room without meals is cheap, and it may be because an old man living alone is doing his best, but the room is full of trash and mold, and the windows inside the building aren't even open, so spiders are crawling inside the windows. There were a lot of bugs in the building, and when I opened the closet to take out the futon, the pillows were smelly and there was a lot of other people's hair on the futon. The sheets seemed to have been washed, so when I pulled them back and lay down, I heard the TV or radio coming from the next room at high volume all night long. The next room is where my husband, who is hard of hearing, sleeps. There was no way I could sleep because the loud noises were echoing through the thin wall next to me. I may only be commenting on bad things, but this is my actual impression. I'm not a germaphobe, nor am I a fan of cleanliness. I'm more of a lazy person. I commented that I thought that as long as we are operating as a guesthouse, we need to have at least a minimum level of acceptance, even if it is an elderly person.

A guesthouse run by an 82-year-old elderly owner. The building was built in the 1960s, and as soon as you step inside, it smells musty. No meal. Cheap (3000 yen). However, I like him because he seems like a scholar who is knowledgeable about literature and history. You can enjoy the feeling of time slipping.

I can't say it was as good as a 3-star hotel, but it was a heartwarming stay.If you pay close attention to your grandfather's movements, you might have a different kind of fun.

It's definitely the cheapest of the hotels around here, and I'm thankful for the kind grandpa! If I come again, I will stay there⤴︎
