I visited with a friend. This is an inn that I would like to visit often if I am nearby. This time I will bring my wife. The hot spring water gushing out from the bathtub is the best. The food was simple, but there were a lot of items and it was delicious ✌️✨The hospitality was great!

I stayed at Kizoku Onsen Izutsuya. This inn is located next to a famous public bathhouse and also rents bathing suits for women. There is a parking lot along the road above, and the inn is down towards the river. When we got there and went to the inn, we found that it was very well maintained and that there was only one guest staying at the moment, so it was very quiet and relaxing. This time, we were shown to a room on the second floor.Since it's the time of the coronavirus outbreak, the room already has futons ready, so you can lie down right away and it's comfortable, so it's better if you get used to it.When I settled into my room, the landlady brought me warm amazake. It's very warm at this time of year when there's still snow. There are two baths: a small family bath to the left of the entrance, and an artesian rock bath located in a bathhouse along the river. The rock bath was washed away by the last typhoon and has just been rebuilt, so it's very clean and has a nice woody scent. I visited at the end of March, and I was surprised to see that the river water, which had increased due to melting snow, was flowing higher than the rock bath. In addition, the communal rock bath is right next door, and guests can use it free of charge.Looking at the hot spring component analysis report, the quality of the hot springs is "simple hot spring (hypotonic alkaline high temperature spring)". The quality of the spring water is almost the same as that of the public bathing area, but I feel that the hydrogen sulfide odor is stronger in the communal bathing area. The hot water is naturally gushing and very fresh. Both taste and aroma are perfect. The source temperature is a little high at around 44 degrees Celsius, but as long as you pour enough hot water, you can get into the water without any problems. As soon as you relax, it's time for dinner. Meals are prepared in the tatami room on the first floor. Although it is not a luxurious dish, it uses ingredients from the mountain village and includes ingredients that you would not normally eat, such as rockfish sashimi and deer meat. I also received Iwagyo Kabuto Sake. It has a nice aroma similar to bone sake. Breakfast is also hearty and hearty.Kizoku Onsen, located along the river in Minamiaizu, has been rebuilt despite being repeatedly damaged by the river's rising waters, and I was moved by the way the locals protect the hot springs. It's a wonderful place. I would like to visit you again.

The building was a great inn where you could spend your time listening to the sound of the river, surrounded by historic furniture and the smell of new wood.

It looks like it's open now, so I'd like to go sometime this year.As of January 2020 (closed due to flood damage) ----------------------------------------The food at this inn is really delicious and the hot springs come from the hot springs at your feet. I couldn't give up, so I thought, ``Even if I don't have access to the hot springs, would it be okay to just stay and eat?'' I called them and was told that they were unable to open the business at this time. However, the owner told me that they are aiming to reopen this year, so I would like to wait for it to reopen.I'll be the first to stay there when it reopens, so please do your best. I'm rooting for you.✴️…………Second stay in July 2017.Now, for the first time in 6 years, it is now possible to take a bath in the hot springs in the men's bath! The men's bath is located at the same level as the riverbed, and hot spring water at a temperature of 41-42℃ gushes out from a hole in the bottom. (If you stay overnight, there is also a women-only time, so you can enjoy it to the fullest)Right next to it is a river, and there are few hot spring inns with this kind of scenery, making it one of the inns that can truly be called a hot spring heritage site.It is a quiet inn surrounded by nature, where you can be healed by the sounds of wild birds, insects, and the flowing river.Even in the summer, you can spend the night with just a fan, and it was cool during our stay. The meals for both breakfast and dinner were made with ingredients harvested from the mountains, fields, and rivers, and there was a wide variety of dishes, and we had a lot of delicious food this time as well. The couple who look after this inn and hot spring are quiet and kind, and their customer service is modest.I would definitely like to go there next time in the fall....Previous review...Since the earthquake, the temperature of the water in the men's bath has dropped, so we were only able to use the women's bath (shared by men and women, privately reserved), but we were able to use the mixed bath along the river near the inn. I stayed there knowing that I could.I was disappointed that I couldn't enter the men's room at the inn, but I was impressed by how delicious the food was in both breakfast and dinner! In March, I was able to enjoy the last Yukimi Onsen of the year, and it was an inn that I would like to visit again in the beautiful season of fresh greenery.
