Although it was inconvenient to have a separate bathroom and toilet, I was satisfied with the low price and good customer service. The sake and rice were also very delicious.

I went to Hinoemata Village on business, and probably because it was tourist season, all the guesthouses in the village were fully booked. For that reason, I had to drive back for about 30 minutes, but I was taken care of by Sugaya Ryokan in Inan.It was an easy stay at 12,000 yen for one night and two meals. There are many kinds of food and I highly recommend it.

It was kept clean and I was able to spend a relaxing time there. The toilets are shared and have a mix of Japanese and Western style toilets, so I'm a little worried about the Japanese style toilets being hot during busy periods.

Surprisingly, bear soup comes out. The strained oil tempura is the best.

A ryokan located in Minamiaizu District, Fukushima Prefecture. I think it's easy to find because it's along National Route 401. The price of 5,800 yen per night without meals is a little expensive compared to surrounding inns. There is no hot spring, but the bath is a jet bath. The building, rooms, and toilets are very clean and well-maintained. They let you use the microwave and refrigerator. It's a great location for a fishing lodge, close to the Inami River. Wi-Fi is available, but it's barely usable on the second floor. About 2 minutes away by car is Akaiwaso, where you can enjoy the hot springs of Akayu (you can get a discount coupon at Sugaya).
