It takes 20 to 30 minutes to go south from the Tsuchigoya direction. There is a water place, restrooms, BBQ area, and parking lot.Tent sites are free.

It's a great free campsite with a kitchen and toilet, but when we were trying to clear it out, fleas were persistently clinging to our tents, so it was a bit of a hassle.

Shiratani Auto Campsite 🏕️I used it on my way back from mountain climbing. It was such a good campsite that I couldn't believe it was free, with a water hole and clean restrooms❗️ There was plenty of space on the upper level, so I think many people would be able to enjoy it.The problem is that the water source is across the road. There are a lot of gravel and stones in the tent site, so there is a limited area where you can pitch your tent, but if that doesn't bother you, I don't think it will be a problem. There is a river right next to it and the water is flowing so fast that it might be a bit noisy to sleep in (depending on the individual) I used it in mid-May!As a total evaluationTo put it bluntly, I can only be ``grateful'' for being able to camp 🏕️ in a place like this for ``free''!! ️

2023/10/31 Used it the night before going to UFO Line. The campground was like a vacant lot along the road, but there were no cars passing by at night, so it was quiet and comfortable. The toilets and kitchen were both very clean and comfortable to use. The toilet was "potty", but the smell didn't bother me. When I called the town hall to apply in advance, I was politely told that ``applications are no longer required, so please be careful when using the service.'' There are toilets and a kitchen across the road. The vacant lot on the toilet side is larger and better, but since there are many cars stopping by the toilet, I recommend the vacant lot (site) one level above the toilet side because it is spacious. From the site above, you can go down the stairs and immediately go to the back of the toilet. Docomo is out of service area. There is an au antenna on the telephone pole next to the toilet. It seems to be using a satellite line with a parabolic antenna, and the internet radio on my Rakuten Mobile was extremely slow (0.8 to 1.0 Mbps download) and would cut out. I was grateful just for the connection. Also, since the site is in a valley, there is no morning sun and the night dew does not dry. It's free and a great campground.

Although it is along the road, there are hardly any cars passing by at night and I sleep soundly. The toilets don't flush, but they are clean. The road is narrow, you need to contact the government office in advance, it's unmanned so you don't want to stay overnight, there aren't any shops around, and the 5-tent tent is a comfortable size, but it's comfortable except that you don't know in advance how crowded it will be.

When I called the government office, I was told that they wouldn't know the availability unless I went and looked at it. I think it's a phone call to confirm the number of people, so if it's a weekday or when there aren't many people, I feel like there's no need to call.I think it's convenient because there are toilets nearby. However, there were a lot of insects, especially horseflies. When you arrive, the car is surrounded by horseflies. I couldn't get out of the car for about 15 minutes. The river was very beautiful!
