A solitary inn located in the innermost part of Shimanto City, on the banks of the Fujinokawa River, which flows into the Shimanto River. The location and atmosphere are perfect for a hidden hot spring inn. There are 3 rooms in total: one 8 tatami x 2 room (couldn't it be possible to make two rooms if you put a shoji screen in the middle?), one 5 tatami small room, and one large hall. Other than the small 5-tatami room, the other two rooms have floors similar to those found in Kyoto, and you can enjoy your meals there while looking out at the river.Eating your meal while looking at the clear stream of the Fujinokawa River and listening to the voices of sculpins and cicadas is something special! The amount is not enough to make you feel like you can't eat anymore, but it's enough to fill you up. There was no fancy cooking or seasoning, it was completely orthodox country cuisine, but all the flavors were delicate, elegant, and delicious! There is only one bathroom and no open-air bath, but if you open the window you can see the murmuring of the river below. It is said that the hot water from the mineral springs was previously heated with firewood, but now it is heated with a boiler. When you open the bathroom window, the boiler and its timer are right in front of you. If you think the water is lukewarm, you can adjust the temperature by twisting the timer and boiling it yourself. In addition, you can pour unheated mineral spring water from the faucet next to the bathtub, so if you like hot water like me, you can pour in the hot spring water to your heart's content. The hot water didn't have much of a special feature, but it was nice and soft. I couldn't find an ingredient analysis table, but there are many hot spring enthusiasts who feel at ease when there is one, so I thought it would be a good idea to post it.The restrooms are simple washrooms (with a cleaning pistol) that were common in rural areas in the past, which may be a bit of a pain for people with hygiene habits.By the way, the room does not have a key and there is no valuables box. However, this is a strange inn where you don't have to worry about that at all...There was no cell phone signal, but there was a TV and air conditioner.
