This inn is located along a tributary of the Shimanto River. The river water was crystal clear and the environment was rich in nature. For better or worse, it feels like going to your grandma's house in the countryside. The bath was heated by hot springs (cold springs). There is no ingredient list. It was tasteless and odorless.I stayed in September and didn't get bitten by mosquitoes. However, due to this environment, there are a lot of insects, including in the guest rooms. (There were no pests like cockroaches or bed bugs.)The toilet bowl is a Japanese-style simple flush toilet, and the urinal is supposed to be a flush toilet, but no water comes out.The futon has holes in it, so it may not be to everyone's taste, but it's a place where you can enjoy locally produced ingredients and see a sky full of stars at night, which is a valuable experience, so if you have the chance, you'll definitely stay here again. I would like to.

You can enjoy the scenery and bath while enjoying the proprietress' cooking. A hot bath will warm you up.Fireflies could be seen from after 8:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The best time to see it is late May.You can hear the cries of the endangered sculpin frog. When I was sleeping, I was able to fall asleep listening to the beautiful cries of frogs.Since the river is nearby, I opened the door in the morning and relaxed under my futon. We had prepared a bath without shampoo, conditioner, or towels, but we were grateful for the kindness of the landlady. She told me that she forgot to tell her that she could take a bath by herself. It was cold in the morning, so I wanted to take a bath in the morning~lolIt's charming that she's a little clumsy. It was fun~ We talked a lot about wanting to know how to use the internet. I enjoyed looking at everyone's reviews, photos and comments!*As of June 2024, SoftBank is connected to the internet. One night with two meals ¥11,000

The building was originally a recreation center for the forestry bureau, but it was rebuilt with a more solid foundation and structure, and is now a well-used inn.Currently in my mother's generation for 10 years. Before that, it was run by my mother-in-law, and since my mother came from the city, she learned a lot from her mother-in-law, and we were treated to warm hospitality. From tending and harvesting fruit trees and fields, preparing ingredients and cooking on beautiful tableware, to eating while looking out at the river. (It was cold this time, so I relaxed on the stove.)There seems to be a lot of work to be done to beautify the building, which is surrounded by wild plants, but it felt good to see that everything was clean.Great theater experience in the rock bath! The hot springs in Kochi Prefecture are cold springs, so I bathed in the hot water that my mom had boiled for me, and warmed it up to the right temperature with the hot spring water coming out of the faucet. There was no shower, but I took a leisurely shower, drew water from the tub, and washed my body and head.I knew from reviews that there was no cell phone reception, so I didn't worry about it.When you come here, the best thing to do is just relax in your room! I thought it would be nice to listen to the sounds of the river, frogs, and insects and enjoy the seasons. In the summer, some people enjoy playing in the river and taking pictures.

A solitary inn located in the innermost part of Shimanto City, on the banks of the Fujinokawa River, which flows into the Shimanto River. The location and atmosphere are perfect for a hidden hot spring inn. There are 3 rooms in total: one 8 tatami x 2 room (couldn't it be possible to make two rooms if you put a shoji screen in the middle?), one 5 tatami small room, and one large hall. Other than the small 5-tatami room, the other two rooms have floors similar to those found in Kyoto, and you can enjoy your meals there while looking out at the river.Eating your meal while looking at the clear stream of the Fujinokawa River and listening to the voices of sculpins and cicadas is something special! The amount is not enough to make you feel like you can't eat anymore, but it's enough to fill you up. There was no fancy cooking or seasoning, it was completely orthodox country cuisine, but all the flavors were delicate, elegant, and delicious! There is only one bathroom and no open-air bath, but if you open the window you can see the murmuring of the river below. It is said that the hot water from the mineral springs was previously heated with firewood, but now it is heated with a boiler. When you open the bathroom window, the boiler and its timer are right in front of you. If you think the water is lukewarm, you can adjust the temperature by twisting the timer and boiling it yourself. In addition, you can pour unheated mineral spring water from the faucet next to the bathtub, so if you like hot water like me, you can pour in the hot spring water to your heart's content. The hot water didn't have much of a special feature, but it was nice and soft. I couldn't find an ingredient analysis table, but there are many hot spring enthusiasts who feel at ease when there is one, so I thought it would be a good idea to post it.The restrooms are simple washrooms (with a cleaning pistol) that were common in rural areas in the past, which may be a bit of a pain for people with hygiene habits.By the way, the room does not have a key and there is no valuables box. However, this is a strange inn where you don't have to worry about that at all...There was no cell phone signal, but there was a TV and air conditioner.

"Know that enough is enough"・Cellphones do not work.・There is no shower head in the bath, and hot water does not come out even when you turn on the faucet.(Heating the cold hot spring water in the bathtub with a boiler)・The toilet is a Japanese-style simple flush (use a cleaning pistol to flush the toilet bowl when you are finished).・The meals are not fancy dishes, but simple country cuisine. When you stay here, you will realize how full of various things your life is usually like.It makes me think. There are surprisingly few things we really need to survive. That's right.・To be honest, if you pay the same price, you can rent a yukata at 〇Kai... or 〇Edo...You can soak in the hot springs and eat gorgeous cuisine. However, I don't think they can be compared on the same playing field.・There are many tall cherry blossom trees in front of the inn.I thought it would be spectacular when these were in full bloom, and I wanted to go back and visit around that time.I think so.

This inn is located on the Fujinoki River, a tributary of the Shimanto River. The hostess will take care of you by herself. She is a very kind and talkative wife. They serve truly local ingredients, such as wild vegetables grown in the mountains, river fish, and shrimp, in simple ways such as salt-grilled or tempura. The natural taste and aroma of the bowl was delicious. Apparently, the bamboo shoots were boiled before they went out to pick them up, and when they got back they were boiled right away to avoid any harsh taste, so they were delicious! The scampi is also great. The building is a little run-down, but it is kept clean. When you step out of your room, you will find yourself on a riverbed, and you can see the crystal clear river flowing right below you.You can enjoy hot springs in a rock bath. If you open the window, you can see the clear stream right in front of you and enjoy the feeling of being in an open-air bath.At night, I fell asleep listening to the sounds of the river and the frogs' songs, as the chirping of the frogs echoed beautifully. The river in front of you is so beautiful that you can stare at it forever. When summer comes, I definitely want to get in the water and swim.It was a very nice inn where you could relax and enjoy the natural beauty without anything excessive.

A wonderful space where time flows differently than in the city. Not only is the amago delicious, but they also serve simple yet delicious seasonal meals. What was most delicious was the rice. The moment I tasted the rice, I felt something was wrong. If you ask me, it seems like they are cooking in a stove. It's not an easy place to get to, but I'd like to visit again during firefly season.*The stars seen from close to the inn were very beautiful.
