There are no emergency route signs in the room. You can clearly see the horizon from the ocean view. The tempura was cold, but the food was delicious.

Although the facility itself is undeniably old, the seared bonito and lobster sashimi were delicious. However, although there were vending machines selling beer and chuhai, the prices were at tourist prices. There are no convenience stores or supermarkets nearby, so it would be better to buy your groceries in Tosashimizu's downtown area before heading to your accommodation.

I stayed there during Golden Week. Considering the recent market prices, I was worried that it would be quite cheap with two meals included, but I was very satisfied! The tatami mats and walls are old as expected for a facility? It felt clean, probably because it had been updated, and I feel that the cleaning was done carefully.~Guest room~The room on the 4th floor overlooks the Pacific Ocean, giving you a truly spectacular view of Ashizuri. *There is a road and a post office in front, so the sea is not close. The room is traditional inn style and is too spacious for two people. Separate tea and tea making hot water heater, TV, unit bath, wash basin, closet and toilet. There is a complete set. However, please note that the toilet is not a washlet. Also, the only amenities are toothbrushes and towels, so it is recommended to bring your own.~meal~The meals are ryokan style with lots of plates and items. As expected, there are many simple items due to the low prices and high prices, but I never thought I would be able to eat bonito sashimi and spiny lobster sashimi. I'm satisfied with just this. Most of the items are lined up from the beginning, perhaps due to the arrangement, but sashimi, rice, and soup are served at the appropriate time. There is no menu for drinks, but they seem to have bottled beer and Japanese sake. For juices, we recommend the vending machines in the lobby. Breakfast is served in the same style.~Large bath~It's a normal bath with no particular view, but it's a hot spring, so it's satisfying. There are many washing areas. There were times when it was difficult to get hot water. There seems to be a very small sauna (I didn't go in). There was conditioner shampoo, body wash, soap, and razor. Please bring towels from your room.~staff~Many people are very kind. Do many elderly people work at their own pace? There were some moments, but it didn't bother me at all. I don't think it's suitable for those looking for first-class hospitality. There are no shops nearby where you can buy things, so if you want to drink in your room, we recommend bringing your own before coming to Ashizuri (there are vending machines for drinks, including alcohol). There is a promenade nearby, so you can take a walk. For the parking lot, you leave the key with the host. Rental bicycles (electric ones) available.

I came here because I wanted to soak in Ashizuri Onsen. There were few inns around the area, and I felt the effects of a declining birthrate and depopulation.Judging from other people's reviews, perhaps the hotel is short on staff due to the end of the coronavirus pandemic? Fortunately, on this day, the sashimi was not dry and was very delicious.I felt that it was sufficient considering that it was a reasonable price and did not lose out to recent inflation.Up until now, in Japan, you could expect services that exceeded the price, but I think that with the declining birthrate, we are getting closer to the quality of services overseas. If you don't have too high expectations and visit with the feeling of a good old ryokan, you will be completely satisfied.

The sashimi was very delicious and the amount was quite satisfying. The staff were very friendly and it was a warm experience. There's nothing I can do about the age of the equipment, but I felt it was showing its age. The public bath is small, so don't have high expectations.I think it depends on what you care about, but I personally give it a high rating.
