Located directly opposite the train station, the Japanese-style wooden room has clean floors and bathrooms. The boss is very friendly and the nearby town is quiet and friendly.

The owner is friendly and the location is convenient. You can rest assured that you can store your bicycle in the building. The boss is handsome.

Lovely guesthouse to stay on our cycling tour of Shikoku. The host is very friendly and helpful. We are able to have conversations with him even though we cannot speak Japanese. He shared with us a lot of information about the Shimanto area and beyond. It was raining in the afternoon and evening, so we stayed in the guesthouse and have a good time.I highly recommend everyone to stay in this guesthouse.

We will miss Ono-san and Ekimae house. We stayed here for 3 nights and would have liked to stay longer. The place felt like home. The architecture is handcrafted by locals, and beautiful woodwork is throughout the house. The smell of that wood will always remind me of Ekimae house! Ono-san was a kind and generous host, and I believe we left as friends. We relaxed in the living room in the evenings, and even played on his Nintendo. We also easily cooked most of our own meals in the well equipped kitchen. If you’re looking for somewhere to relax in the beautiful countryside, I strongly recommend staying at Guesthouse Samaru. Ono-san does so much for his community and values every guest who visits.I get the impression that guests often use the guesthouse as a stopover, for one night, before moving onto another destination. This is a huge mistake! Stay for at least 2 nights, enjoy the wonderful vibes in the guesthouse, swim in the local river, hire bikes (from Ono-san) and also sing karaoke just down the road on the weekend with the locals! We have been travelling Japan for 6 weeks, Guesthouse Samaru was our favourite place we have stayed, and the town of Taisho-cho was so welcoming and so memorable. I wish Ono-san all the best and hope very much to return one day. A really beautiful guesthouse and town.

My party had mechanical failure with one of our bikes when we arrived in the middle of a snow storm, and Ono-san went completely above and beyond to help us solve the problem and get where we wanted to go. The rooms were also very clean and nice. Thank you so much for your help and for a wonderful stay!

I used it when touring on a motorcycle. At first, I was thinking of staying in a tent at a campsite, but it suddenly became cold in the mornings and evenings, so I gave up. I came here looking for a cheap place to stay. As a result, I took a shower and slept well on a comfortable futon, and the next day's touring was also comfortable. The rooms were clean, and I was shown a bike storage area that was out of sight. Personally, I was glad that there was an izakaya (Japanese pub) just a short walk away that was run by a general who loved motorcycles, and we had a delicious dinner there.

The construction, size, and comfort of all tables and chairs, including the kitchen, were not made with the user's ease of use in mind. They didn't teach me how to use the valuables box, and it was broken.I can't even stay in the common room until my train time. You will be asked to leave the building before checking in and after checking out.Extremely unfriendly and uncomfortable accommodation.

Great (only one in town?) sharehouse in Taisho. Yusuke is very nice, even with his limited English. Our two man room was cozy, but had space for the luggage, plus the futon was comfortable. They have a lot of living room spaces, with plenty of chairs, tables, and manga if you can read Japanese. Plenty of information if you're looking for acitivies in the surrounding areas. It was pretty quiet when we arrived and only a few other guest showed up later in the evening. I'd recommend this place if you were looking for lodging in the area.

There is a station in front of the inn, and you can park your car in a public space on the hill next to it.It seems that the old guest house has been renovated. It was the best in terms of cost.Revisit,I used it when I went to the Shimanto River for sweetfish fishing. It was very helpful for me to store the sweetfish I caught in the refrigerator.I go fishing for sweetfish in other regions and stay at hotels.I was surprised that the futon mats at this facility were so fluffy that I didn't feel tired the next day.I was surprised that I didn't feel sore all over my body the next day at the accommodations I've used for fishing so far.I would like to visit you again next year.Thank you.

The value exceeds our expectations. Everything is clean, the bed is super comfortable and I slept so well! Highly recommended. I have been able to recommend various places. The cost performance is the best!
