[Farmhouse inn “Satoyama” in Shimanto Town, Kochi Prefecture]I have been to Shimanto Town several times, but this time I stayed at the farmhouse inn "Satoyama" in Shimanto Town.8,000 yen for 1 night with 2 meals (7,000 yen per person for 2 or more people)It is built on a slope a little away from the village along the Shimanto River. It's an old private house built in 1955 with a Showa-era flavor, but it has been renovated and is very beautiful. Both dinner and breakfast had a lot of variety and were delicious.Dinner is Shimanto pork, wild sweetfish from the Shimanto River, andKochi's famous bonito came out, and at the end, melon came out.The bath is a Goemon bath.It was my first time experiencing a real Goemon bath. The management couple are also very personable. This is a recommended inn where you can experience the countryside of Shimanto.Reservations are not made onlineMake a reservation by phone. Limited to one group per day.

They are a warm-hearted couple, and the husband works as a volunteer guide for the Shikoku Trolley, so he invited me for a ride on short notice, and they were very kind and fun to talk to.All of the meals served were extremely delicious! ! !The futon was also comfortable. It's a great place because the air is delicious and the water is very delicious.I love Kochi, so I would like to stay here when I visit again.

It is built on a hill with a great view, and even in summer you can feel the cool breeze from the mountain behind it. At night, you will be healed by the beautiful starry sky and the sounds of insects and frogs. This is what life in the countryside was like in the Showa era. The owner and his wife provided attentive hospitality and the food was delicious. We were really taken care of. The room and toilet are also clean. I felt like I wanted to live here forever.

You can spend a quiet time looking at the starry sky and listening to the sound of the murmuring river. The hearty meals made with delicious local ingredients such as sweetfish from the Shimanto River and Shimanto pork are very delicious, and since you can rent out one house to one group per day, you won't have to worry about other guests.
