Since I did not stay there, I would rate it as average. I only used it for meals, but I was very satisfied with the large selection and excellent taste! If the temperature drops from now on, I think it will be a great idea to enjoy it on the terrace! I would like to stay there next time! !

Anyway, the rice is delicious. (The eel and mackerel were used, but the fried eggplant is also delicious!) The rice cooked in the Hagama pot is available at the dining room at 7:30 in the morning. There is no TV, but you can borrow chairs out on the terrace and listen to the sounds of insects and the flow of the river. It was a blissful time to go outside and sit and drink tea under the starry sky.Mothers who want to connect the Shimanto River from its source to downstream. We also hold stamp rally events. I also participated. (Please check the roads carefully. There are many mountain roads that are narrow.)Seiran no Sato signboard. Aoimaru is the first drop of water from the source. It is not a complete circle, but a ``drop circle'' where the people and their thoughts come together to form a circle. Blue is also a mixture of various ``ao'' colors. Also pay attention to the horizontal line on the right. what do you see? For the answer, please ask "Mom" while relaxing and drinking tea in Seiran no Sato. There is a washing machine so you can wash your clothes. Detergent can be purchased at reception. There is a dryer, but it's only one, so a simple hanger would be helpful. (I'm not saying that the car is heavy)There are discount coupons for nearby hot springs. If you are planning to go to a hot spring first, be sure to get a ticket.

Seiran no sato was one of the nicest accommodations we have had the opportunity to stay at. The places is gorgeous and the river is stunning. The whole place is very relaxing and peaceful. It is a very traditional ryokan with incredibly delicious food. Most importantly the hospitality was world class. I didn't catch her name, but lady who runs the ryokan was so kind and helpful throughout our stay. It was our son's birthday and she did so much to make it a special day. They made a beautiful cake with candles, bought celebration sparklers and gave our kids nice outfits to wear. Thank you again for such a memorable stay!

It can't be called an inn or a hotel...it feels more like a guesthouse. The room was new and clean, but when I stayed there looking for the starry sky, it was cloudy and I couldn't see anything. You can see the Shimanto River flowing from the terrace of your room, but there's too much grass growing there...the view isn't very good. And a double bed unit bath room with no dinner or breakfast is priced at over 10,000 yen per person. Is it a good place for rural ladies who are tired of living in the city or for people who want to be healed by nature? If you aren't looking for something like that, nothing will resonate with you. It is strange that there are so many high ratings on Google and various travel sites. The service is warm, but not outstanding. As for breakfast...umm...

Lunch party with retired mentors💓💞The food was so heartfelt and wonderful that I couldn't believe it was only 980 yen, and the sesame tea, dessert cake, and coffee were of a very good quality.Everyone also had a very satisfying time with the beautiful scenery after the rain, the cozy space, and the hospitality of the caring staff.I'm sorry I stayed for more than 2 hours 😅I would like to use it again next time, and I would also like to go to the lunch buffet once a month.Thank you for the wonderful time

We had a truly unbelievable experience at Seirnan No Sato and would highly recommend it to anyone that has the chance to visit Shikoku. The “mothers” who manage the hotel and cook the meals and jokingly refer to their hospitality as “clumsy and slightly intrusive” are the most accommodating and warm hosts. After two 10 day trips to Japan, I can honestly say the best meals we had in the country were all cooked by the Siernan No Sato mothers during our three night stay. The dinners each night were flavorful, always unique and surprising, the freshest ingredients, and so plentiful. The rooms are modern and comfortable with beautiful views of the river and mountains from a back deck.We expected the Shikoku countryside to be beautiful, but the photos online don’t do it justice, the whole area is beyond imagination. We didn’t get to experience the tea making class but I could not stop drinking the shiso green tea and brought home bags of it. It’s only ~1 hour drive from Kochi City and rental cars were easy to manage. We also used it as a jumping off point to the Niyodo River for packrafting and canyoning with Niyodo River Adventures as well as a hiking trip up the highest peak in Western Japan called Mt. Ishizuchi. Overall, it was one of the most peaceful experiences I have ever had and can’t wait to return some day. Highly recommend!

This is an inn located next to the headwaters of Shimanto. It is staffed by housewives. Breakfast is the best with Hagama rice. I would like the dinner to be improved. Since it's mainly pre-made items...
