It may not be suitable for people who are concerned about many things, but the quality and quantity of the food was excellent, the rooms were spacious, and in terms of cost performance, it was one of the best inns I've ever stayed at.Delicious sashimi despite the inconvenient location on top of the mountain. There are also many other wonderful dishes such as takikomi rice and sukiyaki. Some people may be concerned about customer service, but I think this food is the best form of hospitality. If you have a larger room, you can see the night view perfectly, and you can easily see Mitake Shrine at night. It was my first time climbing Mt. Ontake with a high degree of satisfaction.

The cost performance is outstanding. The food is delicious and the portions are perfect.Depending on the room, you can see all the way to Ome and Hachioji from your room.I especially like the lighting and atmosphere in the bathroom.

The guide said that the view was nice, but although the room was large, the view was not great and there were a lot of insects at this time of year.Luggage storage available. He was kind enough to give me a ride to the shrine and set a time for worship, but he seemed to be in a bad mood. The host's customer service attitude was only smiling when he left.Smokers have to smoke outside every time because there is no smoking area, but the entrances and exits have sensors that make noise, so smokers have narrow shoulders and have to be careful when going out to buy drinks at night. use.The bath was large and nice, but I felt it was a bit lacking in character. The location was good as it was right next to the souvenir shop and close to the shrine.

2017.9.27 AddedThis year I stopped by on my MTB trip.It looks like the time for autumn leaves is coming soon.☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆I stopped by on my road bike.I like the view of the road from here. When I have free time, the grandmother at Houtei Honten is a good conversation partner and makes me feel at ease.

While I was taking a bath, there was someone peeping at me from the little garden(niwa). So it would be better, if the owner consider to cover the whole window in the women bathroom.I sleep in the little room alone. The room is in the second floor, above the hotel entrance. The door can be locked from inside but the big window cannot be lock and it link to the walk path inside the hotel. It can imply that anyone can got into my room so easily and it is not safe at all. So it will be better if you change the window to be the one which can be locked. All above, the little room has no air conditioner (have little oil using heater instead) and it is the smallest room in this hotel but the price was the same as other room which bigger than this room twice and has great air conditioner. Hope the owner will consider this. The women who travel alone should consider this comment before making a choice.

Literally a minute away from Mitake Shrine's torii gate entrance and a short walk to the cable car (it's #23 on the map). We dropped off our bags in the early afternoon before we continued hiking. …
