Once I start talking seriously about this inn, I can't stop talking about it, and other reviewers have written in detail, so I'll keep it brief.I think this inn is chosen as a regular lodging by people who have accumulated a certain amount of travel experience and have acquired a certain level of insight into how inns should be.If you come into contact with the spirit of tea, which is not extravagant, but does not lack, and brings quiet comfort, you will be charmed by even the slightest flaws (lol)It's only once a year, but I'll always be indebted to you.

I made a reservation because it seemed like there was a cancellation 3 days in advance.I guess we were pretty lucky because it's a small inn with only 6 rooms. The room is 8 tatami mats in size and overlooks the river on the 2nd floor, and when you open the window, you can see the willow trees on the riverbank, the sound of the murmuring stream, and a calming view.Nearby Nagayu Onsen Weeping Sakura no SatoAdmire the cherry blossoms on the day of the festivalCheck in after 3pm.Take a bath before dinner at 6pmAll three bathhouses are private family baths. If it's empty, you can come in 24 hours a day.The hot springs in Kakenagashi are carbonated springs and are slightly lukewarm. For those who like hot baths, it may be a little unsatisfactory.Next, we headed to the nearby Ramune Onsen, where we warmed up nicely in the sauna and carbonated springs before heading out for our long-awaited meal. Most of the ingredients are fried yamame trout, Bungo beef steak, etc.Apparently, it is produced in the local area of Takeda City.We enjoyed dishes that we don't usually get to eat, such as yuba and steamed egg custard. The interior and equipment of the building had been renovated in recent years, and there were no signs of wear and tear, so it was a comfortable space and time. The hallways are tatami-matted and have floor heating in some areas, making for a truly welcoming experience.Smoking is prohibited throughout the property, so if you are a smoker, please bring a portable ashtray with you when you go outside, or there is an ashtray provided at the entrance to the Choseiyu (public bath) next to the inn.Overall, I think it's a very high level accommodation.

Food, customer service, and hot spring quality Although the inn is small, the rooms have a nice atmosphere and are perfect. However, it is a shame that the scenery on the other side of the river is a bit deserted.

This was my second visit in several years. This is a ryokan that you will want to visit again and again, with a friendly reception and a variety of hearty dishes. The hot springs and meals were in private rooms, so I was able to enjoy the time in peace and quiet without meeting other guests. I'll come back later.

Since it was a creative dish, it was prepared in a way that I don't usually eat, and it was very delicious.I was able to enjoy my meals in a private room and the hot springs without hesitation.

As a ryokan, it is a small and calm inn for adults. It seems to be limited to 6 groups. The head chef and host provides attentive service. Not only the hot springs, but also the food! 5 stars!I had the "Bungo Beef Steak" as part of the vegetable-based kaiseki course. Steak is a must-order dish❗️Bungo beef steak has a chewy texture and flavor that instantly spreads in your mouth and melts in your mouth after 5 bites!I've only eaten yakiniku recently, so steak is different! lol lolThe hallways are tatami-matted, so you don't need slippers. (No need to worry about getting mixed up with other people's slippers)Underfloor heating throughout. It's not cold even when you're barefoot! There is a library in one corner of the hallway. I'm happy about this too!All guest rooms are on the second floor. There are 3 family baths. Please note that the bathrooms and dining area are on the 1st floor, so you will need to move up the stairs.Dining is in a private room with chairs! (A lap blanket is also available)I knew that it was a long-established inn that represented Nagayu. However, it was founded in 1909!Of course, it was rebuilt, so it's not old, but I could feel the history in how well it was built.I look forward to hearing from you again.*PS: Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi was a FREESPOT in a public facility, so it cut out after about 10 minutes. The pocket Wi-Fi I brought with me doesn't have a signal, so I'd like them to open the Wi-Fi for guests.
