Since it only took 3 seconds to get to the slopes, there was no need to worry about carrying equipment, and it became a memorable place for the children to make their debut snowboarding. The rooms are full of the feeling of a normal guesthouse, and are about 6 tatami mats and 4 and a half tatami mats of a Japanese-style room. There is a kotatsu and an kerosene stove. When you open the curtains, it's already a pure white ski slope. I'm thankful for the double-glazed windows in a snowy country ♪ If you place drinks between the windows, it becomes a natural refrigerator ⛄The futon had smooth sheets♪ The thick blanket was also warm. The toilet was also recently updated and was sparkling clean. The baths are larger than I expected, separated by gender, lockable, and can be used by families.As mentioned in other reviews, the rice is rich and has a wide variety of options.The most chewy Koshihikari rice from Uonuma. As an all-you-can-eat (･∀･) pork cutlet freak myself, the only thing that struck me was that it was a bit cold. Well, I was very satisfied ♪ Basically, smoking is allowed in the dining room, so if you don't like the smell of cigarettes, you might want to refrain from smoking. But the children never said anything about the smell. I would like to go there again♪Also, there is a 1 km uphill slope before reaching the guest house, but if there is snow on the road, a 2WD van with studded shoes will come to a halt and slip. You will not be able to go up, so we recommend that you keep some distance between cars and go up slowly! Never forget!

Direct access to the slopes is the best!The food is also better than the cost performance!The heartfelt hospitality that can only be found in a minshuku is very good.

The landlady was very kind.It was a really good inn that warmed both the mind and body at a very reasonable price for students.

Great location, great food, great host. The facility itself is old, but I'm so satisfied that it doesn't matter.Chateau Shiozawa is a hidden gem, so if you're blessed with good snow quality, there's really nothing to say!

This is the best inn with a view of Echigo's 300 famous mountains, including the Echigo Sanzan.The owners, staff, and food are great!
