What to expect from this restaurant: cold, maybe a day old tempura, old sashimi, and my husbands tea was served with a piece of plastic in it. My guess is that they have poor quality control. I hope we don’t get sick. Also very expensive for what you get. But a nice view.

Lunch is a tempura gozen meal. Can I have another helping of rice?

This is a restaurant located in Ujibashi, next to the Murasaki Shikibu statue.I received the Tenzaru set. There were quite a few mixed reviews, but it wasn't that bad. There are 3 floors, and the 2nd floor has tatami mats where you can take off your shoes, and tables and chairs. There is also an elevator, which can accommodate up to 6 people.I don't have many opportunities to eat chasoba, and the tempura was very filling.Thank you for the meal.

I had a soba set meal for lunch, but the tempura was probably just a large amount of deep-fried food placed on a plate, so it was lukewarm and extremely tasteless. The soba noodles are also tasteless. The price is also high. When I told the lady at the cash register on my way home, she laughed! I feel like I'm used to it because I've always been told that. Although the location is good, I think it would be better to serve freshly fried tempura. President, you should reconsider. I wish I had looked at the reviews. Everyone, read the reviews. That's why there weren't many customers. There were lines at other stores, but not at this store. I understand what you mean.I will never go there again and will tell my friends not to go there when they go to Uji. It was really bad.

Came for dinner in early September. I would say that this place is very suitable for dining and resting. I personally don’t think the matcha soba tastes like matcha, but in the hot weather, I was very satisfied eating cold soba noodles at the tatami seats on the third floor with the view of Uji Bridge.

It’s a sign when you’re the only one there….granted I came looking for a late lunch and this was the only store that was open. Ordered the set A tempura set and it should have been a sign when it took only a few minutes to prepare the dish. They fried the tempura hours ago and give you tempura that’s been sitting in the oven until a fool orders it. It is actually an insult to pay nearly 2000 yen for a reheated meal. I mentioned this to the cashier and she only apologized.Do not come here as you will regret it big time.

It was located at the entrance to the approach to Byodo-in Temple, and I was reluctant to choose another restaurant, so I went in, but this was the first time I had tasted such bad chasoba. The noodles were probably left to boil, and they were so soggy and stuck together that I would have thought that cold soba noodles that you can buy at a cheap convenience store would be much more delicious. It wasn't that tasty at all.I was seated next to a window with a nice view of the Uji River, but there were tons of dead insects caught in the many spider webs, so it was like torture for someone like me who hates insects.

Good restaurant with wonderful Uji bridge and river view. Not crowdy, staff was very nice. Matcha ramen was good but not my favorite, matcha noodle taste a bit of bitter but it's good to try.

Frankly speaking, it's negative! Originally a Uji citizen, I wanted to eat tea soba with my family after visiting a grave, so I chose Ujigawa-san, which is in a prime location, and entered the restaurant for the first time. I was guided to a window where I could enjoy the view of the Uji River, and when I sat down, there was food left over by the people sitting next to me. Those people are rude. When I looked at the window, it was extremely dirty and full of spider webs.I was disappointed when I ate while looking at the view, but the food was delivered very quickly. As soon as I ate it, I understood why. A large amount of tea soba must have been boiled in tempura that had been fried. This is the first time I've ever eaten such bad-tasting tea soba that stuck together and had no elasticity. To be frank, I felt like I was losing money by paying over 3,600 yen for a dish that wasn't even worth 1,000 yen. I can see that the person next to me was left behind. Even if you leave it alone, it's terrible to go there just because the location is such that customers come. As a former Uji citizen, it was a dish that made me feel sorry. I think tourists will be disappointed too.
