We stayed one night in this hotel to try the traditional Japanese style experience by renting a room with futon overlooking the river. We stayed here to try the Japanese Ryokan style experience.Cleanliness wasn't the best given the high standards that Japan has accustomed us to, the bathroom in the room was old. Overall the experience was positive given the presence of two onsen, one on the third floor and one on the first floor, super clean and relaxing

The room was spacious and I was able to relax while looking at the Uji River. The food was very delicious, especially the rice. The man at the front desk was very kind. The service during my stay and when I saw them off was also very nice.I would definitely like to stay here again when I go to Uji.

Stayed overnight in Uji, which was a stopover on my trip to Hokuriku. I think it was because I chose a cheaper plan considering it was the end of the Obon period, but the room had a strong Showa-era smell, unlike the higher-grade rooms that had been fully renovated. However, facing the Uji River, the view and the sound of the murmuring stream were truly soothing. The first floor lobby and public bath have also been thoroughly renovated. Plans that include meals are nice and easy, but there are plenty of restaurants in the city of Uji that aren't aimed at tourists, and it's fun to eat outside while walking around town.Unfortunately, the next morning I realized that there was a rooftop bar on the rooftop that looked cozy. I would have found out if I looked carefully at the information on the hotel's website, but I wish they had at least placed an information flyer at the front desk.

Good location and nice surroundings by the river though property kind of run down and cleanliness can be improved. Though serene surroundings but cannot open the window due to loads of flying bugs trying to enter the bedroom. Found a live centipede in the bathtub on the day of arrival !
