The building is old, but both dinner and breakfast were delicious and made with local ingredients. For this amount, it's quite a good value. The chef's explanation was also thorough.Particularly delicious was the bowl of soy milk and shio koji served for breakfast. It was so delicious that I made it at home. The bath is a bit hot.It might be just right in winter.I would be happy if you could enter until around 24 o'clock.I want to go again. It was an inn with wonderful hospitality.

I stayed here for 3 nights on a trip to Azumino with a friend.Although the inside of the building is old, it is well kept. There was no toilet in the room, there were two at the end of the floor, but it didn't feel like a big inconvenience. The hot spring is a little small, but the cypress bath will warm you up.The food was well thought out and good⤴️I especially enjoyed the soy milk soup made with plenty of local vegetables. We would like to thank our employees for their kind response. Overall, although the facilities are old, it is a warm and soothing inn.

I stayed for 3 nights and 4 days with a travel agency's free plan.I was a little worried because the room didn't have a toilet or washroom, but I had no problems at all.The food was excellent both breakfast and dinner.I was impressed by the attentiveness of the staff at the inn.I came back from sightseeing earlier than the scheduled time, and seeing that I was sweating, I called my room and asked if I would take a bath before bath time, so I took a bath.I would definitely like to stay a little longer next time.

My wife and I stayed here on the first night of our trip to Shinshu. The food was delicious and more than worth the price. There is no bathroom in the room, but it's not particularly inconvenient, the tatami bed is a nice touch, and the bath is a little old, but it's smooth and smooth. It seems that the signboard cat has already retired, but they are thinking of a second generation, so I would like to go there again.

A super Showa style inn.Isn't this an inn that will be popular with everyone? That's why it's 4 stars, but I like it.Although it's old, the toilet, bed, and futon are new and well-maintained, so it was comfortable. When you opened the hot spring door, you could smell the scent of cypress, and the hot water was great. The fatigue from the journey will be blown away.It was extremely hot, but perhaps because it was a wooden bath, it felt soft, so even though I don't like hot things, I was able to enjoy it slowly.Be careful as the floor is slippery. In the room, you could hear the TV next door. It's good for me because I don't have to get scared in the middle of the night if I can hear the noise next door.I believe you said that it would be difficult to make reservations for dinner at least two days in advance due to the preparation process.I only had breakfast because I made a last-minute reservation, but it was delicious. I understand that the food is popular. It had a taste that made me want to eat the rice.Thank you for the delicious food and fun time!

At first, I was disappointed when I saw the exterior of the building and the room, but the price was cheap, so I compromised, but the bathroom was made of cypress? It's a wonderful bath with good hot water. What surprised me was the food! I wasn't expecting much since it was an inn that cost around 10,000 yen. But a chef like a monk? The detailed explanations of the dishes and the wait staff were excellent, and the food was very delicious and of a high quality. I never expected that an inn that costs about 10,000 yen would serve me a meal for 20,000 yen.The food included rice and dessert. , it felt like they put too much effort into it and didn't cut any corners. I was happy that the food was delicious. Highly recommended for motorcycle touring accommodation! The baths are cheap and the food is delicious. When I first arrived, I was foolish to be disappointed that I would only be able to stay at the hotel for about an hour. It was a good memory.

In April 2024, I participated in a two-night, three-day free tour organized by a travel agency in Osaka. On the second day of this tour, a bus tour of Matsumoto Castle and Takato Castle Ruins Park was included in the participation fee, so I went there because I wanted to see the cherry blossoms. From Osaka, I took the Shinkansen Nozomi to Nagoya, then transferred to the limited express train to Matsumoto, and then took the local line to Hotaka Station. There was a shuttle bus from the hotel to Hotaka, and although there was an accident where the train was delayed, we were able to get to Shogaku fairly smoothly. Before I went, I was prepared that I would be staying in a cypress bath in Shohaku, and that the toilet and washroom would be shared. There were clean washlet and Japanese-style toilets, one each for men and women on the second floor, and two on the first floor, so I was able to use them without any inconvenience. The toilet and washroom are a little farther from the room than at home, but you can go there as if you were participating in a training camp or forest school. It wasn't as bad as I expected and I had a comfortable time. I was especially surprised that the room had a tatami bed! It was a nice surprise. It was easy to lay out the futon yourself. Yukata and obi were kept at the top of the stairs and I didn't take care of them. There is a free drink corner on the second floor, and I was surprised to find that they have sencha, hojicha, black coffee, and even apple juice! I was happy that I could drink as much as I wanted and the service was really good. The quality of the spring water in the bath is very good, but the hot water flowing directly from the source is extremely hot! It was a good hot spring that warms up well and is suitable for cold regions. However, there is one thing to keep in mind: the floor of the washing area seems to be rotten in some places and you may sink a little, so you have to be careful when bathing... The public bath had one bathtub, and since there aren't that many rooms in the inn, it was large enough that even if there were day-trippers, it wouldn't be crowded. The good thing about this inn is that the food is delicious and the employees are very kind.Dinner is a Japanese-style Kaiseki meal, and everything is homemade and uses local ingredients. The tempura was delicious with seasonal wild vegetables. It seemed small at first, but I was full. For breakfast, the miso soup with lots of ingredients was delicious. It was very delicious, with taro, tofu, and burdock in the style of kenchin soup. On the first day, there was a large salt-grilled rainbow trout, and on the second day, there was a nice salt-grilled sockeye salmon, and I had to bring my own rice and water. This breakfast also filled me up. I could feel the thoughtfulness of this inn in the food. I thought this was a reasonably priced inn, and a soothing place for people who head to climb the Hotaka mountains from here. The air was clean and it was great to be able to see the mountains of the Japanese Alps rising from the shuttle bus.Unfortunately, the cherry blossoms on the second day were only in bud, but I was happy to be able to go as far as Matsumoto, Shinshu. The snow-covered mountains of the Japanese Alps in Hotaka were especially moving.
