The experience is amazing! I spent wonderful time there one year ago, me and my family love the every corner of the house. Tina and Toru are warm and kind, they invited us to the local traditional festival which is unique. The attic is the best part for me, they literally bring a photo gallery to the house, If you like photography, don’t hesitate, Tina and Toru as photographers will have an enjoyable conversation with you.

We stayed at this wonderful house last March. Before my trip, I have searched long for a house with a modern heating system yet still keep the culture aspects in the Miyama area. And I am grateful I found Casa Miyama. The house was a treasure box to me. All the details in the house gave us so many Wow moments. And the hosts Tina and Toru made everything perfect.Food was generous. All our needs as afamily traveling with young children were fulfilled with kindness. This was the highlight of our trip.We will be back for sure!

The host is the most helpful that we have ever met. We are a group of 8 people and during our stay, we lost our car key and we had no idea where it was. The host kept helping us to look for the key, from the back yard to the front, and helped us to call the car rental to explain the situation, saving us a lot of effort. They also allowed us to temporarily put the luggage in their garage so that we could move on with our schedule and to get the spare key from the car rental. Until the next day after we moved out, the host started cleaning up the snow around the house and found our key in the middle of the road. They called us and also the car rental, which again, saved us a lot of effort. Their hospitality and proactiveness are greatly appreciated and it is highly recommended.

It seems that there is no Chinese review yet, so I will write one. This is paradise. This house is the most beautiful combination of two cultures (Japanese and Spanish).Due to heavy snowfall during the trip, we were unable to rent a car. The host was very kind and took us to Miyama Town (a 20-minute drive), and also took us to the train station where we could catch a ride back to Kyoto. (The drive takes 30~40 minutes) I really appreciate his help.If you are lucky enough to live in this house, please be sure to stay for two or three days. If you can only have one night, do not limit the time you spend in this house. This house is a treasure, with so many period and cultural details. Even though we only stayed one night, we immediately felt like we were back home. The male and female owners are both photographers, and their house is full of scenery. They have preserved the traces of handicrafts of that era to the greatest extent, and displayed them in a more cute and approachable way that is consistent with modern living. If you can stay for a few nights and cook your own food, it is definitely the best way to enjoy this house. This is a house with a soul.I just hope I can book this accommodation again in the future. Thanks for the hospitality.

It’s hard to know where to begin with so many points of excellence.I guess we start with the house, Casa Miyama. It would have to be the nicest, most well appointed and relaxed Japanese house I’ve ever been in. Everything has a purpose and a place in this house. Very relaxed atmosphere with space for the whole family. Our hosts, Toru and Tina looked after us so well, a friendly couple who know how to make you feel welcome and at home.We ate both our meals there which were 10/10. Both Toru and Tina are excellent chefs and our chicken sukiyaki was so proper and delicious. Breakfast was such a lovely way to start our day.As a family and as guests we highly recommended the service and accommodation offered by Tina and Toru at Casa Miyama. We will be back for sure!
