I stayed one night at Goshiki Onsen, Goshiki no Yu Ryokan.I was very satisfied with the hot spring food. The proprietress and staff were cheerful. It was a ryokan that I would like to visit again.A family of raccoon dogs came to see me, and on that day, there were 6 of them. Yes, please come and see me.

A few years ago, the charming open-air baths that once existed along the river's edge were completely destroyed by a flood. It seems that his descendants, the current young managers, worked hard to renovate the building. We should be grateful just for reopening the wonderful hot spring inn that our predecessors worked so hard to open.

In the mountains of Shinshu, it is quiet and has a good river flow, there is a waterfall nearby, and there are also ranches and ski resorts. It's a very nice place. There are raccoons, but apparently there are also bears. The wild vegetables from Shinshu were very delicious.

The room is small, but the hot spring has been beautifully renovated. After reading the book on the history of inns in the room, I want to make a reservation at Manza's Toyokokukan. The cuisine is elaborate and uses only local Negamari ingredients.

I arrived at 14:30 when the check-in time was 15:00, but they happily accommodated me.You will be given your own slippers when you check in. Write your name so you don't confuse it with someone else's.Amenities include a toothbrush, shower cap, rubber band, and hand towel. There is no refrigerator in the room. No air conditioner. There is a fan. No water heater. There is a hair dryer. There is about 1.5 liters of hot tea in the pot. There is one hot spring bath for private use, and one indoor bath for men and women. The semi-open-air bath is currently not filled with hot water. It's along the river, so the sound of the river is soothing. I can't hear the sound of cars either.A great place for those looking for tranquility. The reason why there is no hot water in the semi-open-air bath is because the amount of hot spring water seems to have decreased since the Great East Japan Earthquake, so it is no longer possible to supply hot water to the open-air bath. Things probably won't be the same in a few years. It's a shame that I can't take an open-air bath, but the indoor bath is very nice and I'm satisfied. The sliding door in the private bath was broken and was extremely difficult to open and close. I want it fixed soon. The floor of the changing room is heated. Isn't it necessary in the summer? When I talked to him about it, he told me that it was designed with the elderly in mind.I found the autobiography of the first generation of Goshiki Onsen Ryokan in my room, so I read it and found it interesting. If you have time, please read it.Wi-Fi can only be used in the lobby.I don't know what he cooks because he stayed without meals, but according to his autobiography, his specialty is deep-fried freshwater crab.Recommended if you're looking for a quiet, small inn deep in the mountains.

I stayed here a month ago.I was attracted by the name and photo of the inn and stayed there with high expectations, but there was no hot water in the open-air bath. The food was locally sourced and served only Nemagari, but it was a guest house. It was not worth the price of accommodation.

I stayed on a weekday. There was no one else staying, so I had the hot spring all to myself. The meal consisted of a lot of wild vegetables, and the homemade fukimiso was delicious and had no bitterness, so I ordered a second helping. It was my first time eating horsetail, and it was surprisingly delicious.Although I couldn't go into the open-air hot springs, it wasn't too hot and I was able to soak in it slowly.I was very happy that I was able to spend a very quiet and relaxing time and eat very delicious food.I understand the feelings of repeat customers. I'm definitely planning on coming again. The wife was also very friendly and talked to me a lot. It felt very homely.

This is a warning! ! The rustic indoor baths and open-air baths that you often see in photos are no longer there! ! ! If you were thinking of visiting after seeing that photo, be careful! It was completely destroyed during the renovation! The rebuilt semi-open-air bath is nothing special. A rare improvement in recent years. It's not enough to just make something new. Hot springs aren't just about hot water. The value of bathing facilities increases when you can feel the history of our predecessors. When I inquired on the phone, the landlady seemed to get angry and told me, ``The outdoor bath and the indoor bath are no longer available!'' and I was cut off unilaterally! What a rude response! And it's a shame... it's a shame, since it was worthy of being designated as a cultural property. On top of that, they also destroyed the open air...it must be a hassle to manage. I won't be visiting again...

I love traveling to hot springs, and this hot spring is considered to be the best in Japan. It is a hot spring worthy of being called a famous hidden hot spring. If you usually bathe in clear hot springs, your body will honestly tell you the difference in bathing effects when you take a bath in this hot spring. The feeling of plumpness in your body after entering is amazing. This is a hot spring that you should experience once in your life.
