I had a very comfortable stay.We weren't able to get into the room until after 3pm, but we arrived early and were able to leave our luggage there. The room was clean and had multiple electrical outlets.Since it was along the street, I wonder if it could be seen from outside? However, thanks to the bamboo blinds, it was not visible at all from the outside. (Keep it closed at night, as it can be seen due to the light.)Dinner and breakfast were also very delicious. The portion was large and I was full. The washroom and toilet were also clean.I didn't use the bath because I used a nearby hot spring, but they lent me towels to take to the hot spring. Also, if you stay at a private lodging, you can enter the hot springs there for a 100 yen discount. At night, the children were practicing for the Doburoku Festival outside, and I was able to hear them up close, which was a great experience.

Such a special experience staying at this gassho house. Our host was incredibly kind and made us really feel like guests in her home. The meal was fantastic, especially the hida beef! It was clear the home had a lot of history and everyone greatly respected it.

This is a Gassho-style B&B with a 400-year history in the Shirakawago area and the only "Tsumari Gassho-zukuri" structure. Entering the house feels like you are in the scene of "Axin". The owner of the B&B is enthusiastic and has excellent cooking skills. The dinner and breakfast are rich and delicious. Although the house is old, it is well-organized and very clean. There are kerosene heaters, electric blankets, cloth quilts and blankets in the room. Even if the temperature outside is low, the room is still warm. The bathroom equipment is modern, but it needs to be shared by residents, and hot water for bathing is limited in supply time. The place is quiet at night, and you can take a stroll the next morning to experience this UNESCO-designated world heritage site.

I wanted to have a special lodging experience in the World Cultural Heritage Hapjangchon. The location of the B&B is good. The smell of wood gives a fresh feeling. The owner's cooking skills were top notch.Dinner and breakfast are provided, and the Hida beef is soft and delicious, along with a variety of side dishes that are mainly comforting foods. The dried fish whose name I don't know is light and tasty, but I didn't know how to fillet it and eat it, so I just opened it with my mouth.🤣The only private space in this accommodation was the one room they gave us.The toilet, bathhouse, and sink must all be shared. It was very inconvenient, but considering it was a traditional house, it was a natural structure. All public areas are clean and well maintained.Bathhouses have limited usage times, so you must use them wisely. Not being able to shower in the morning can be unpleasant. The bathtub in the bathroom is made of wood, giving it a mystical feel.I visited in winter and it was cold. The room is heated with a fan heater, but the room needs to be ventilated frequently due to the petroleum smell. However, thanks to the thick blanket, I was warm when I slept.Every time you walk in the hallway, the wood makes a sound so you have to walk with your heels up. Lights must be turned off at 10 o'clock, and there are many rules in bed and breakfasts. The owner is friendly but doesn't want to make conversation. He was a bit sensitive and I had to move unnoticed. It is 1,300 yen per person per night.I was able to have a special and refreshing experience.

This is a gassho style guesthouse in a very good location. When I came to Shirakawa-go, I wanted to stay in a gassho-style house, and it was a great decision! I was prepared for insects and the oldness of the gassho-zukuri building, but it was very clean and I had a relaxing time. The food was delicious and they answered everything I asked. The wooden bath pot in the bath gives it a very nice atmosphere. I stayed there in the middle of winter, but it wasn't as cold as I expected! Rather warm.It seems like they have been running a guesthouse for many years, so the hospitality was amazing.I would like to go again this summer.

It was my first time staying at a Gassho Minshuku, so I was both excited and nervous. However, I was able to stay with peace of mind.Although the building is old, the facilities are well-equipped and we were able to spend a comfortable time even in the intense heat. The food was seasonal and seasoned with just the right amount of seasoning, and the rice was delicious. Since it's made with such clean water, there's no reason it can't be delicious. The bathroom and toilet have also been renovated and are modern, and the air conditioner is comfortable to use. When I went outside at night, I could see many stars through the gassho-zukuri roof.It was a day surrounded by nature.

I've always wanted to stay at a guesthouse in Shirakawa-go. It was located on the road side in the center of Shirakawa-go, so it was bright and easy to take a walk at night. The guest house also had a family bath, but there was a discount coupon for guests to use the hot springs at Shirakawa-go Hot Spring, so I used that. The toilet was also clean. The meat on the dinner menu was tender and delicious. There was a small hut next to the guest house, and a shop was open as well.
