This is a quiet mountain hut inn. This is also good. There was only one other guest staying with me, and we didn't meet each other during meals or baths. I stayed for two nights for the purpose of mountain climbing, but I was able to relax slowly!Enjoy a long bath by adding hot water to your liking. There is a faint smell of sulfur and iron, which is soothing. The meals are huge both in the morning and in the evening! There are a lot of side dishes and the rice goes on, so I end up having to refill. In particular, the fishball hot pot with lots of mushrooms is overflowing and will leave you full of flavor and stomach!Full service is not required. If you want to relax or go trekking, we highly recommend this place as your base. Please note that there are not many buses, but the host and other people were very kind. It's early summer so you can stay comfortably even with the windows open, and in the morning there was a soothing orchestra of birds, and a family of deer and a squirrel came to the front door! Everyone was so cute!

This inn was used for filming the movie "Dake".The hot springs were pleasant and the food was delicious with a wide variety of choices. The building has a retro feel, but I think it is well kept.Even a mountain hut costs about 13,000 yen, but it's amazing to be able to spend a night with two meals, soak in a hot spring, and sleep on a fluffy futon for less than 10,000 yen. On the other hand, I am concerned about whether there is any profit. It seems to be a historical inn that has been going on since the Meiji era. I hope it continues.

2020/11/14 around 14:00650 yenA hot spring inn that serves as a base for climbing the Yatsugatake Mountain Range.Extremely cold water is gushing out next to the bathtub, and is being dumped outside the bathtub. That seems to be the source. When you put it in your mouth, it has a sulfuric acid smell in your nose, an iron + slightly acidic taste on your tongue, and a fizzing feeling similar to carbonated water. The bathtub seems to be heating and circulating it, but there is no medicinal smell. The sulfur smell on my clothes was so strong that even after washing it once, it was still there.I don't know of any other hot water with such a strong sulfur smell.

The last time I stayed there was in the fall of the year before last. The first time I stayed was in June 1986.I like the unique atmosphere of this inn.I think I've stayed over 100 nights in total. There were times when I was the only guest staying overnight.A lodging in the mountains.I think it's best not to stay here if you're looking for clean rooms, well-maintained facilities and services, and clean restrooms. I wonder if the bath still has a shower. If possible, I'd like to stay in September or during the winter when there aren't many people coming.Accommodation fees are also cheap.

A good old inn.The hot springs felt great, and I had to take my car out to Lake Matsubara to look for something I had lost, and I couldn't help but bow my head. The food is plentiful and the seasoning is strong. When I entered the room, the kotatsu was already warm, which was a nice touch.

I always take a day trip bath. The hot water smells like sulfur and is very pleasant. When it's hot, you can adjust the temperature by adding cold water.
