We had a very nice stay at Hotel Carik Bisma in Ubud. The hotel is ideally located, away from the hustle and bustle, yet within walking distance of the center. A perfect balance between tranquility and proximity to everything Ubud has to offer.We stayed on the ground floor with direct access to the pool. The view from our room was beautiful, truly an oasis of peace. The hotel staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, and were always ready to help us. For example, we were able to rent a scooter through them, which made exploring the area very easy.In addition, it was very nice that we could leave our luggage with them while we went to another place on the island for a few days. This kind of service shows how hospitable and flexible they are.The only downside was that the water in the shower was not always warm, but that was manageable.In short, an absolute must for anyone visiting Ubud and looking for a quiet, comfortable place close to the center!

Good hotel, good location, very good breakfast.Recommended watermelon juice never tried before but now I will also make it at homeThe only flaw is that the rooms on the ground floor are a bit damp, we had a room facing the beautiful pool with only little privacy if you left the windows open.The location is very good, you are in the center but it is very quiet.Another flaw that I have to find at the hotel is that the people who live at the entrance have a lot of fighting cocks, nothing to say it's their culture but it made us a little sadHaving said that I would go back.The guys who run the facility are super helpful, think that one evening a gecko came in and we asked, they came into the room, captured it without harming it and then released it outside

This hotel is fine. It has some things going for it, but they’re not focused on the customer experience.What we liked: The bed is comfortable; the pool is nice; the rooms are a decent size; the A/C works good enough; it’s quiet; it backs up to a lovely open space with birds, monkeys, and ducks; nature sounds at night; they offer a basic breakfast; the location is good, near the Monkey Forest.What we didn’t like: you get two small water bottles at check in and that’s it, no matter how many nights you’ve booked; there’s no hand soap in the bathroom; you only get two towels—no hand towels and they don’t refresh towels when they “clean” the room. Also, when we checked in, the young man didn’t help us with our luggage. My fiancée and I were struggling to carry 5 bags up the stairs and the employee just followed and didn’t offer help.There are other things that I won’t mention because I don’t expect perfection at this price point. But I do expect standard things like water, hand towels, and help with my bags. Otherwise, the employees have been nice and the family at the property is super sweet. Also, the ducks were a highlight.

The view from the superior rooms on the 1st floor are amazing - worth the upgrade. The staff is very nice, accommodating and helpful. Great location, outside the busy center of Ubud so you can rest undisturbed, yet at the same time the center is very close by scooter or car. Overall very good stay, would happily recommend.

The best location. Close to Monkey Forest Road and the main drag too but also tucked away from it all with a view of rice fields and the back of the Forest to star at while swimming or lounging about. The absence of a TV is a good thing. I had to bring my own electric jug to make a cup of V60 java juice but wouldn't deduct a star for that as I knew in advance, this being my 3rd time. The price is right too.
