A plus is that the hotel is close to the city center. But it's getting really old... There were no hooks on the curtains, the bathroom was really old and the fittings were very calcified. The bed was newer than the rest. Unfortunately there were a lot of stains in the sheets, not fresh, but still not nice! Also a carpet full of stains. The elevator from 1957 doesn't exactly inspire confidence. But the staff was very friendly. We didn't eat there.

This hotel is not recommended at all. After we had checked in and briefly entered our room through the untidy hallway via the stairs, we unfortunately did not notice that, due to lack of time, only one duvet was provided for our double room, booked for 2 people. No one could be reached at night, which is why we were freezing that cold night. Furthermore, the TV didn't work either because the antenna plug was torn out. Unfortunately, the room had to be paid for directly in advance. To date, no one has responded to our complaint. So you can and should avoid this hotel.

The hotel is a complete disaster. We looked at 3 rooms. Every room is outdated, unclean, bathrooms are also outdated. There was a musty smell in one room and the heating in the second room didn't work and there was no radiator in the bathroom. The hallways are unclean and full of garbage, toilet paper, blankets, old lamps, etc. The location is very central but the hotel cannot be recommended, we had to stay overnight and found it very disgusting.

I'm a little surprised by some of the negative reviews here. People would need to give them some slack - The hotel has a rating of 3 stars so it is only fair to give ratings against that fact. Don't expect shiny white marble, modern usb ports on the walls or things like that. I have stayed in this type of hotels a lot, the ones that have that 80s-90s style, and this was absolutely fine in that category. I actually liked it a lot. Why? Because I'm not afraid of a small stain on a full-floor carpet(do you know how difficult it is to get them off...), I don't mind if the bathroom floor doesn't have tiles but a plastic carpet, I don't write negative reviews if something doesn't work (instead I go and report it - and will get it changed). The room was perfectly clean, the bed was even extra comfortable and everything worked as it was supposed to.We travelled as a family of three (us parents and a one-year-old) and got exactly what we wanted - a central location, clean and relatively big room plus extremely nice staff. And we do also recommend the restaurant downstairs. For families: you can fit a travel stroller (our stroller is Emma Quick, if you want to google the measurements) into the elevator, but a bigger one will not fit. We would come here again for very nice budget friendly stay in Wiesbaden(more money left for experiencing things in the city😇) . Thank you for the staff of Am Kochbrunnen Hotel Wiesbaden 👋 We had fun days.

Absolutely unsuitable for allergy sufferers!!! And without breakfast!!!The rooms are dirty, there is dust everywhere, everything is worn out and almost falls apart when used. It smells really strange in the stairwell, almost unbearable. There are no struts in the stair railing, so small children could fall if they hold on to them.We actually wanted to stay here for two nights. But the rooms were far too dusty for that. I pointed this out immediately after arrival and asked for something to be done, i.e. that our room be cleaned. 2 hours later the reception was empty and our room was just as dusty and unusable for us as before. At least there was someone on the number who promised us a solution. This then consisted of another room, the luxury suite... At first glance, this was a little less dusty, but it neither deserves the name luxury nor suite! At 11 a.m. changing hotels with two small children wasn't an option, so we stayed. In the morning I could hardly look out of my eyes because of my house dust allergy.I then left with my children instead of staying another night.Another surprise was the lack of breakfast, which has no longer been offered since Corona (!), but is still partly on the information sheet in the rooms, as well as on the internet!I can only advise everyone to look for something else. The staff is generally nice, but not really competent. Someone here just wants to make money without doing anything in return!

The hotel has a great location and the staff is nice too. Unfortunately that's the only good thing about it, unfortunately the photos on the website don't correspond to what you find. The carpet was stained and wasn't clean, there were long hairs hanging on the towels, the kitchen "in the closet" was dirty and everything was stuck together.

I would give 0 stars, but unfortunately that's not possible. Rooms are really rancid. Kitchen (in the cupboard) was sticky. The faucet came on when the toilet was flushed. Stains on the walls and floor. Definitely not suitable for children. You feel really uncomfortable and unsafe in the room. Would definitely not recommend this hotel. Save yourself if you can!!

Very central in beautiful Wiesbaden and therefore right in the middle of life. There is parking on a side street. Friendly staff.
