What a disgusting hole! I would prefer to give 0 stars. But read our experience for yourself. To get straight to the point, I like to write honest reviews and I'm happy to overlook one or two not-so-nice details when the overall picture is correct. But what we were offered (a business trip with a colleague) here at the Alpha Hotel undercuts everything I have ever experienced in hotels (worldwide)...First of all - we always book our hotels via HRS, that's what our client wants. My colleague and I were on a course in Dietzenbach. The hotel had a mediocre rating of 4 stars, but that didn't put us off at first.Personally, I don't need a lot of frills, but I expect the rooms to be clean and the furnishings to be in good condition, as you would expect in a 4 star hotel. The hotel quoted a price of €79 per night including breakfast.Location: The hotel is quietly located in a residential area and has a handful of parking spaces at the back. We arrived late, the room key was left in a key box (arrange in advance by phone).Rooms / General: Yes, what can I say, what we were offered as a room was not only disgusting but also life-threatening (detail below). But look at the pictures for yourself. I don't know where the hotel got the 4 stars!- Indefinable stains everywhere on the floors (including in the hallway) and partly on the upholstered furniture in both rooms- Mold on the shower curtain and the partition in both rooms- broken shower hose (taped or what was that white stuff?)- broken towel racks in both rooms- worn furniture that belongs in the bulky waste- broken door handle in one room and broken entrance door at the night entrance- defective seals on the doors- generally poor condition of the furnishings (stains on the walls, wear and tear on the wallpaper)- Phone didn't work (wasn't even connected)- Hairdryer was available but no socket in the bathroom- ice cold breakfast roomand the awesome thing - UNTESTED FIRE EXTINGUISHERS in the hallway since 2017! This is where the fun ends!To be fair, the bed itself was comfortable and the sheets and covers were clean! The towels were also clean. The breakfast was simple but sufficient and fresh. The owner should be ashamed to even offer such rooms to anyone! Would you sleep in these rooms yourself? After one of 3 nights we took an alternative hotel through our company. 3 nights in the Alpha wouldn't have worked.I am deeply disappointed, also by the operator's reaction. We were offered a free breakfast. But what does that change about the condition of these disgusting rooms?

Room booked. Received reservation confirmation. And then no room available upon arrival. Not even a hint of support from the hotel to get an opportunity to stay overnight.

Very attentive staff and breakfast buffet not exciting, but sufficient. However, the hotel is not one of those that I would recommend. Above all, the area is not the best.

In the middle of Dietzenbach. Inexpensive but not easy due to the unstaffed reception. The bill arrives by email a few days later... I'm not familiar with that from hotels.Rooms were clean and big enough. As long as you can find a parking space (the hotel's own has space for 10 vehicles and costs €5.5 per night...)Even if it sounds bad, there are better alternatives in Dietzenbach

The staff who were responsible for breakfast were friendly and always made sure that nothing was missing. But what was very negative and not working at all was the lack of smoke detectors in the rooms. We had 2 rooms, both of which were missing smoke detectors. The stairs to the night entrance were shaky, the steps were only supported with other stones, which is very dangerous, especially in the dark. The bathrooms were tiny and yes that is the correct term for it. At 1.71 and 75 kg, I had to get up from the side of the toilet because I was standing directly in front of the wall. Drying off after showering was only possible if we collided with the sink.Unfortunately, the area has been questionable at best.

I have already gotten to know a few hotels through my job as a sales representative. I booked via HRS.I can only give one tip about this hotel. Find another one. Nice staff, no question okay. But what I found as a room... phew, it was really underground.Denied smoke detectors, expired fire extinguishers. At the side exit (night door) there is a staircase, please be careful here because the loosely heavy concrete step slab almost hit/fell against my shin... So extreme risk of injury.Even if you would like to be a non-smoker, as desired. The hint of cold smoke hung in the room and ash on the windowsill. The curtains also hung more than halfway on the rails. The breakfast was quite okay. But that doesn't improve the overall impression.Take another hotel!I also don't understand why something like this can still be booked via HRS and then with completely different reviews.
