We spent one night in transit at the Erbacher Hof.The dinner in the restaurant was very tasty and you could eat outside in the backyard, which was pleasant. The rooms are not entirely modern, but very clean and tidy. The bathroom also looked hygienically clean. The owner is a very friendly and courteous man and was easy to help with special requests.Overall a very pleasant stay.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the country inn “Erbacher Hof” for one night over the weekend (July).First of all, the Erbacher Hof can be found at Nibelungenstraße 716, 64686 Lautertal (Odenwald). The area is more than ideal for nature-loving visitors who prefer a stress-free and comfortable environment.Near the country inn you will find everything you might need, such as a savings bank, gas station and supermarkets.Parking is available at and around the country inn and is rarely fully parked.Regarding the country inn itself, I can confirm that the owners are VERY FRIENDLY & ACCOMMODATE! Big praise for that!Requests for a room change (due to two people instead of one) were processed quickly and easily. The rooms offer everything you need for a day or weekend vacation! Stable WiFi, TV, comfortable beds/clean rooms and general peace and quiet are provided. This is an old traditional building that exudes its own charm. The bathrooms are a bit small for guests with a "strong" build, but that's due to the earlier architecture - but definitely acceptable. The dining room is spacious, clean and invites you to linger longer, including a drinks counter for cozy drinking evenings. The meal was excellent. In particular, the selection of dishes was not overloaded, so that everyone can find something to suit their taste.Choosing an alternative side dish wasn't a problem and the portion sizes were excellent considering the price. We recommend the freshly prepared Hungarian goulash soup (it is served with bread) and the wild boar sausage + potato + salad. DELICIOUS!We felt very comfortable in the country inn for the short period of time and definitely recommend staying and dining there!Customer service is very important to the very friendly owners!LG :)

I arrived tired and sweaty from hiking. No warm welcome, but the statement that I was the only guest, that he wouldn't make breakfast for me alone, that he would waive some of the room price and that I should go to the bakery. (This one is on vacation). After some discussions I finally got breakfast, two small cups of lukewarm coffee, 2 cheap baked rolls, the rest was OK. no one present, I would have liked some more coffeeThe TV remote control doesn't work. Since I was greeted so unfriendly, I didn't feel like having any further discussions and didn't complain

The hake was clearly two small slices but good. The pheasant was tough and you had to order the red cabbage separately but it was forgotten.

We stayed at the Erbacher Hof guesthouse. We arrived and had to call first because the entrance was difficult to find. We were put on the 2nd floor in what is probably the oldest room they have. Bathroom very narrow and very old. Our request for a 2nd pillow in the request was not taken into account. The service was friendly but very short and impersonal. At breakfast we were told on the day of arrival that a guest would have breakfast at 7:30 a.m. (we wanted to have breakfast between 8 and 8:30 a.m.) after we had breakfast we had a quick smoke and wanted to take the elevator to the restaurant in the room. (I'm blind and have gotten used to this route.) The elevator was then stopped on the 1st floor so we had to walk around the whole house. When we came in at the front everything was closed and therefore no farewell was possible. So everything is very impersonal. Not recommended for people for whom personal contact is important. It should also be noted that if the owners are not there, it is not possible to take the elevator.
